The whole game/series is just an elaborate trolley problem. And it wouldn't be if they asked her consent. That aside, is it ok to ask a traumatized 14 year old with massive survivors guilt if she wants to sacrifice herself for the good of humanity?
The writing in this series is pretty impressive. Almost every bad choice Joel makes is foreshadowed, up to and including the doctor. He is the bad guy, since he did the bad guy thing.
PSA: He has to pull it out. Proper first aid is to leave it in and immobilize the patient. If you get on a horse with that inside you it will turn into a meat grinder.
We'll never quite know. But if Joel and Elle were sitting in the room together with Marleen and they asked her if she was willing to die for a potential cure. Then she just straight up says "yes, lets get it over with". at that point Joel might just commit suicide rather than try and go against her wishes.
in hopes u read this comment one day, im really curious about the song u play intro/outro when u talk and give ur thoughts. is it self made or from a track?
I really hate the way the show makes this part look like an active shooter in a high school. In the game Joel is rescuing ellie and kills everone trying to kill him.
When I heard “On the Nature of Daylight” start playing I absolutely lost it. Like pulled my legs up into my chest and started ugly sobbing!!!😂❤ I love their story so much, even now, it’s remained with me.
Ellie killed that stalker right after she was reminiscing at the machine. What on earth could have made her so mad she would want to kill the stalker... Also, consider she just loss Tess to stalkers/infected. She is angry and traumatized.
I’ve seen just several dozen reactions to TLOU and this one is the first reactor I have seen to at least acknowledge that they recognize the carousel, lullaby.
Non-gamer here….i was in shock at end. I kept going back and forth with ‘they killed him, ellie cant fix this’ and ‘no, they couldnt have-there are 3 episodes left’. It was so distressing.
Pleeeease do more tv shows. I don't know how many times I've watched these reactions "A lot I know that much, but I never played the game. It's the best tv series ever " I stopped watching episode 9 because I just can't, but I had to watch it with you Thank you. I really can tell what the game meant to you. It's like that for me with the Lord of the Rings.
Fun fact, MTV Movie + TV Awards gave a nomination for the Last of Us for "Best kiss" for Anna Torv and Philip Prajoux, and I think that's hilariously dark.
Its sad but I can't imagine to give this power to my kids for these decision. I support Joel decision but every shot hurt me. As a player I hope people will understand that games gives another level of experience to books and movies.
your clips are killing me, this is already such an emotional rollercoaster of a show and then you throw in some simpsons meme that makes me die laughing
18:21 - I initially wondered the same thing. But then I realized Marlene would never have asked Ellie. She and the Fireflies would never risk getting "no" for an answer, so that is why they didn't ask. As a Firefly, Marlene has always pursued her own agenda and ideals, regardless of who got hurt in the doing. Great reaction!
Gabriel Luna was the only cast member (not counting actors like Merle Dandridge who had actually played roles in the games)who had played and loved the games before getting hired. Its amazing that Mazin and Druckmann just let him mimic game Tommy's voice like that and I love it.
It's amazing how you pick up on the Easter eggs like the butterflies in real-time like that!! I'm binging your reactions. I started with your reaction to episode 9 and noticed how quick you were able to pick up on things in that reaction so decided to binge all of yours. Regarding some comments from others, ignore them! I love your edits and predictions. I hope you react to other shows. Perhaps Game of Thrones (except the last season). Both Bella Ramsey and Pedro were immediate sensations in that.
