I have a very rare Colt 45 New Service that was the 12th gun issued to Squadron C of the Lord Strathcona Horse Royal Canadian Calvary in WW1. The LSHRC Squadron was the unit where Lt. Flowerdew served. Where would be the best place to offer it foe sale so a Canadian Calvary collector could buy it ? Thanks.
I live in Australia, Army reserve Infantry a very long time ago. Also, a member of the Victorian branch of the Corps of Commissionaires who were sadly disbanded after ANZAC day two weeks ago. I collect grenade cap badges (Grenadier, Fusilier, Artillery) and Canadian cloth shoulder titles. Only found your channel last week, great subject, great presentation and great collection. Keep it up mate! Subbed.
My father was in the Canadian HLI. He was sent in "green" to the beaches of D-Day. That's it. That is the extent that I know of my father's experience. He/we suffered from his PTSD. Could you give me any info on the Highland Light Infantry?

The brass centurion tank badges remind me of the green felt staghounds on the 19 Alberta Dragons battledress, both were forward facing on the arms above the stripes
I don’t believe they ever went to Africa. They weee the RECCE regiment for the 2nd Canadian Corps in Europe. I’d be interested in seeing the badge. Cheers
