I am law enforcement SWAT officer who does airsoft/milsim for recreation. I make videos related to airsoft and milsim with a little bit of real steal mixed in. My goal is to share some of the things I have learned through my training and experience with my viewers. After playing Airsoft regularly for more than 5 years I learned one thing: Help never comes on time. I had LOT of situations when I was covering alone 1/3 of the map for almost whole round and 20+ other players from my team never showed up. One day I killed 5-6 attackers, waiting 15 minutes for help (Resp was near by) screaming for help and still no response. Another day I literally covered 50% of map (Whole first floor) and once more 20+ players from my team only played downstairs. So it's never like in movies where cavalry comes just in the right moment or Gandalf with the eagles comes to rescue you or something like that. In Airsoft you will die alone. Unless you have really, really good team.
Hey @Gunfather, how do you recommend that people use their feet? If you have your gun in your right hand, your right foot should be back and your left foot forward. Or at least that is what I always thought. What is the better way?
It makes sense. I also see that your AO doesn't have much brush in it. So all of your advice about angles makes sense. In my AO there are trails and there is nearly impenetrable brush. So people just get ambushed on the trails all the time.
This is why I advocate for at least mid caps over real caps you have to shoot way more for the chance that one of those rounds is going to be close to as accurate as a single real firearm round. It’s also why I happen to think that all rolls should have access to at least short bursts of auto fire at milsim events… but than you run into the what to do about lmgs question. My best guess is to let them get away with higher fire rates or slightly higher fps then rifleman. In all honesty though I do think classes tend to make less sense in airsoft the more you get into the details because every gun is kiiiiiinda the same, with the only real differences being rate of fire and muzzle velocity of the guns.
As a 'bigger' and 'larger' guy I can say this actually still fits nicely. I have two of them for actual lightweight kit loadouts for recon of my property. I'm 6ft 3in and 255lbs and this rig works just fine. I did some personal modifications to it and reinforced stitching here and there and at some point I might purchase better buckles but it holds up pretty well hauling around the real deal. I use 4 steel HK mags in it and have drilled with it and it's held up. I wouldn't take it into a direct combat situation, I have my plate carrier for that, but for recon and light work it's awesome.
How its hold up after 3 years? Is it durable as e&l aks against dropping? And ı read somewhere that their ünner barrel can be rust. Did yours inner barrel rust?
It's still in great shape but honestly, I haven't used it in about a year. I replaced the barrel so I don't have any input on the stock barrel. It is definitely on the upper end of durability as far as airsoft guns are concerned.
I’ve heard Delta operators and other tier 1/2 dudes say they will typically only employ dynamic entry tactics in super high risk hostage rescue, where “speed, surprise, and violence of action” are totally necessary. Maybe I’m wrong or misremembering. For video games, dynamic entries are great when your skill is way above the opponent. And in games, if you die, no biggie. If you think dynamic entry is a preferred way to clear a building you’re silly. Even tho some PDs and LE agencies use those tactics when serving warrants or otherwise clearing a building, it seems to be one of the most dangerous things a human can embark upon… assaulting a building containing armed defenders, using dynamic entry tactics. Luckily cops don’t come in contact with people shooting at them too often so they get away with it. I’ve seen some atrocious house clears by PDs tho. 3 guys enter a house and are all separated in 3 seconds in different rooms. On a “high risk” warrant.

This is invaluable information. It is correct that you have serious casualties risk regarding the dynamic entry in the parallel doors hallway being hold down scenario. However, one would assume that, in real life, a 12 gauge bullpup be used to enforce the door and fortunately suppress the threat. while suppressive fire switch side with the man opposite whoever is forcing entry at the beginning of the hallway. Perhaps if possible, flash grenades could be used as well as door charges to avoid having to switch arm and to avoid momentarily posing the suppressive fire on your side (leaving only the man at the opposite side to provide it for the first room). Would I be correct to assume that?
i was full black geared playing ata and event outside once, managed to get some 16 kills while proned just by watching enemy movement. And another time i was inside a bunker that could shoot throught windows with black fit and managed to get 16 kills and 1 hit by a sniper, sometimes you just have to player in the most advantageous way possble!
the best mags are battleaxe mags. if im not mistaken the avengers mags on evike are just rebranded battleaxe mags. the look the same and also hold 220 like the battle axe. yes you may need an odin with them but i was able to fully load it witha thumb loader first time. source i looked at how many bb's it pushes in at a time and I counted how many times i pushed it until it stopped, and it was a match.
Good review. I agree on every point. Just subbed to your channel. I use the Rocotactical Hood as well. I only purchase the full mesh OD hood, (not the mesh and fabric combo) although im actually working on a new hood that is full mesh but comes in multicam and woodland base patterns. I combine my hood with crafted goggles, gloves, boonie, and balaclava. I also throw the hood over a crafted cheap Chinese leaf suit that ive modified quite a bit. Not giving a plug for my channel, but if you would like to see how my suits look with this hood then check it out. I play airsfoft and have put this hood through the ringer and it's still functioning well. I highly recommend these hoods for versatility, affordability, breathability, and functionality.
