I knew as soon as I saw the title what this would be. I too had a similar encounter but land based in a backwater near harbour town. Was rolling a Z man over an old submerged filing cabinet and watched it swim out and eat my plastic at my feet. Surprised how hard this one fought the one I caught didn’t pull any line at all and wasn’t that much smaller.

Do you know any good spots in and around the bribie passage for gt’s? I’m going out on Saturday and looking to try for them.

Some Saturdays if I'm out near the water, I'll park up at one of the main local ramps for a chill sesh and watch the action unfold lol, seen some absolute pearlers lol, recently watch this bloke putting his ski back on the trailer, then noticed some girls when getting into his Maloo ute lol..thought he'd just light em up pulling the trailer out lol... probably would of worked if he remembered to secure his jet ski lol two bounces on the trailer and the whole hull hit the concrete with a loud crack sound following was crunching as it kept sliding back down the ramp.. everyone in the immediate area let out a synchronised cringing awhoaaa!!..that echoed lol took 4 guys to put the nose back on the trailer to hook the winch and skull drag it back on
