Hi there, I started this walk at Morvich, near the National Trust outdoor centre. No car park ,plenty places to stop. Its a long walk and a goes up a height before dropping down to get there.

That's great to see, and in early 90's was still there. I was there around 1970's and it was just an open fire and two large rooms. The bunks were made from wooden bread boards and a chemical loo in an outhouse. Was a great experience of the great outdoors. Nice german shephard there. Thanks so much for sharing👍🏽

@@robcrusoe i was there in I think 1979 and 1980, the white door opened up into one large room with the wooden bunks i think 3 high on the left as you went in and a stove and fire on the right of the room. the black door was where the wood was kept all chopped and ready for the fire.

Cheers mate, there are a few great walks around this area which are in striking distance.The wind chill was arctic ,hands were numb cooking the bangers, but a hot roll & tea soon warmed us up.The ol trapper hat kept me warm tho.Look forward to your next one and many more. 👍🌭

I love that place too ,took me years to find it. Just an exercise as you do, It was quite a feat of flying , 3 attempts at a landing after the winchman threw a flare out for wind direction, after landing he jumped out and retrieved it leaving no trace . 😊

Appreciate your comment and viewing , it was easy route because of the track, I see we have covered a few of the same hills because of travel restrictions, catching up on your own channel and subbed, must dig out my stripey hat too😊 ATB, R
