What stood out for me is that almost all the ladies were wearing skirts or dresses, no trousers or jeans.

One part of me is going "people didn't really look like this", and another part is going OMG, that's exactly what it looked like. No wonder I was averse to shorts. It says this was 1988. Sure that wasn't 1978?

Watched this video for a trip down memory lane when I used to live there. What actually stood out for me is no one is overweight. I bet if you took the same footage now, people would look somewhat different.

I was thinking the same. Apart for a few podgy older people, there were very few overweight people around.... And that's only in 1988.

Hello - I'm interested in using this footage as part of documentary being made about Cornwall. Could you let me know if this would be possible?

Watch carefully and see the great Mr Henry Hoskin early on walking in white shirt. RIP Henry. Wonderful fellow.

Thanks for sharing your video. I know trees are big and I used to practically live in them when I was a kid, but you don't realise just how big they are until they're lying down on the ground and see the thickness of the trunk, and how long it takes to cut them up etc.

Our friend has a fantastic new vintage store called' Rare Bits' in Truro . It is along Pydar Mews next to 'Enjoy' , her vintage clothes emporium.
