I do appreciate your 3200-mile review, but I have a question about your Slingshot, I'm curious about the engine breaking when letting off the accelerator. Does it slow you down noticeably. Sure, there's the brakes, and yes, there's stepping on the brakes and also down-shifting. But adding to the mix, what is the engine breaking like? Keep the Three Wheels Down 😅.Happy Trails to You and Yours.
Good morning , I’ve watched all of your videos. I’m finally ready to step out and get a slingshot. I’d like the sling shade. Can you tell me about the pros and cons of the sling shade
The biggest con for me is being 6'2" and having trouble seeing stop lights and the horizon. I recently broke the latch that holds the door, and there is no cheap repair. But the magnets that assist with holding the "door" closed are doing a great job, but I am still paranoid. Your luggage options are limited with the shade attached, so long trips have to be calculated. Other than the stated issues, the Slingshade has saved me with sun, heavy rain, and the worry of a bird letting go of his Thanksgiving dinner upon my head. Great question.
Where did you get your rear fender. I have a 2023 slr just ordered tric led underglow and interior mood lights. Also ordered the thermal r&d raptor roof top from sling mods. Are there other places to get a fender from.
There are a lot of aftermarket fenders out there, depending on the style you are going for. The one on the SideChic is the stock fender Polaris offers.
We bought a rear fender from our Polaris dealer. The 1st one came in and had the wrong color. We ordered white. It comes with a mounting kit. It is around 800.00 I made the comment to Polaris that these things should have them coming out of the factory.
I don't regularly run around at night, so LEDs are off the table for me. I do feel the pain with wearing shorts and frying my knees so I just wear jeans and long-sleeved shirts as I prefer to not have a roof. I did just order a new windshield that has a 2 inch adjustment so I can get the exact height I want and to flip the air over the top of my headstream so my Cap stays on. it is the Madstad Adjustable Windshield from SlingMods.
@danieldiefender1289 Nice choice on the windshield. Since you stated, "flip the air over the top of my headstream." I am assuming you are over 6'. I think about removing the roof sometimes but just can't bring myself to doing it.
If you can't get Lite the night by phone. Look for any 3 wheel showdown lights and sound shows, Vern owner lite the night will be there MCing and sons doing lite package install
Hi there! We'd like to invite you to work with us on some other future products for Polaris Slingshot! If you are interested in working together, please let us know how we can contact you. Thank you!
None at all... sits in the sun all day as well. Heard there were issues like that before but I needed the shade for entry and exit because of height and the shade looks sooo much better.
@RidinwithPuddin yeah, I have one on my 2018 and it's a little warped. It's not noticeable but I know it's there lol. Love your SS. They're so much fun but money pits when it comes to customization lol
All curved on like s o and other rounded fonts drop doen a bit it is ALL FONTS I am a 27 year on Sign Guy every non sign people assum that. Fun video 😊
I assume to make room for the long legs. I haven't looked deep into it because the pedal travel is maxed out to the fire wall. If you take some measurements, I believe you would have to push out the firewall to relocate the pedals. Being that I have a 34" inseam, it's ok room, but any longer, I would see the need.
Nice Video. I'm 6' 3" and often wondered how I would fit. I need to head down to my local dealer and just sit in one. Not sure what the laws are around he for the helmet.
I love the color option of the Roush, but I wished Polaris increased horse power or a better suspension package or something more. I do love the color and almost held off my order to go for it.
Great video...I am very interested in getting a slingshot. I test drove a couple, but I HATED the roof. I f I purchase any type of roof, it would be the removable canvas type, but otherwise I'd keep no roof at all. I like the wind!
That is awesome! The roof saves me on the long rides from the heat, and I loved the style it hives. One of the great things about Slings is that everyone does their own thing and makes them look good.
Hey Isaac, Slingmods doesn't even sell that kit anymore. The new one mounts completely differently and doesn't interfere with a fender. Check it out here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-x_h4G3TISc4.html
@TripMeister it does. The cover i have goes well below the tire and you can't see the rear swing arm at all. In the windy conditions in New Mexico it would wear a hole in the cover quick.
@@RidinwithPuddin Oooookaaay... I went to 8:28 and got a look at it and having installed mine today, I can say with 99% surety, it wouldn't hurt your cover and it wouldn't even wiggle at 100 MPH.😎
My unit has a loose wiring harness (Polaris informed me about dealership snafu) Aegis, Progressive, Houston Motorsports, and Polaris don't want to pay for the tow or the damage 😂🎉 SLINGSNOT 🏴☠️ My radio harness wasn't attached properly either (day3) My unit sat for 18 days after 10 days of use 😂😂😂 and Polaris doesn't seem to care 🎉 "Houston Motorsports is independently owned and operated" I wouldn't suggest a Sling to anyone 🏴☠️📐 Garbage plastic with garbage plastic connect points....fun as hell; just no quality of service or perception of customer.... The fender giggle at 100mph....or the tweater rattle on windshield..... Bought the tune card off Amazon ⚠️🏁 made copies....if ya want one
Only problem I had is wearing shorts for ten days straight in the sling and getting the narliest tan on one knee I have ever seen. Seriously though, getting in and out ain't bad. I figured a way to lean on the seat back allowing both my legs to be stationed in the right spot in order to sit down. I make sure to incorporate a shot in future vids.
Hey Isaac P, big fan. Ive been a Slingshot rider since March of 2021, and I can honestly say other than trading up for a higher model I love the Slingshot. I rode motorcycles for over 30 years, but I've also been into all types of recreational vehicles and boating as well, but after being shot four times in Afghanistan I haven't been able to properly ride a motorcycle since. That's where the slingshot comes in, I still feel the wind but I also have that security of a seatbelt. Keep riding brother, maybe we'll run into each other out in Maggie Valley.
Maggie Vally was a bit of a letdown, but it did have its highlights. I should be done with that video soon, so make sure you point out your sling in the vid. Thank you for your Service.
Insurance is weird, but shop around. Cold ain't a problem, but suspect snow will be. Maybe s crazy snow tire would help traction but not how insane uou would be ridin in the cold.
was up bro so i took the same route over the winter and i hyper dipped pretty much 80% of the black textured part on my sling and i love the look so here is a suggestion if you love you color match I recommend just putting a couple layers of clear over those wing guards cause the rocks will definitely chip it off without the extra protection. Yes there will be people who will definitely recommend that you DO NOT clear over your dip but if you dont want to go through the hassel of everything that come with painting then its jus a suggestion
@@RidinwithPuddin right on bro for the parts on my sling thats not so low to the ground I didn't clear over them but any part that will be will be considered high contact areas I cleared. to me the dip you choose look basically stock and if you didnt say anything no one would have known.
I made my first order in October, changed it a few weeks later, but picked it up late December. Now the only reason I picked it up so late was I was working on finance options for awhile but arrived very quick in my opinion but not everyone else’s story. May have been my dealership did me good on the order. #Rosedalemotorsports
