Nice video on the Vineyard. You were killing us though with the town pronunciations. You got Vineyard Haven right- Menemsha (Ma- nem- sha, it’s just one Oak and 2 Bluffs, Edgar town not ton and Aquinnah A- Quinn - A.
@@streamindreams I’ve lived here 30 years. My first week on the Island I called Vineyard Haven Van Haven. I was quickly told I would be eaten and spit in the Ocean if I ever did that again. Glad you enjoyed your time.
Sorry for the extremely late response. We have been away for quite some time. If you are still interested in the shelving, here is the install video. DIY RV Closet Shelves! - Transforming an Airstream closet for more usable space! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y6G7I1CYnn0.html
I have a globetrotter 27 too. To share something with you, you can put a narrow full size mirror on the back of your left wardrobe door. There are many websites that make custom mirrors.
What do you use to clean the globetrotter floor and seat cushions? The floor is woven and absorbs liquid. The cushion has tiny little sunken dents usually the stains are in those dents and hard to really clean, we tried brushes, but they don't work that well probably not fine enough.
Thanks for the tour. Very informative. Three questions. 1. How or why did you decide to go with the Airstream trailer instead of a Class A or C type RV? 2. Do you weigh the trailer after you load it up for safety purposes? 3. What vehicle are you using to tow it?

I just ordered a tushy, here is my existing line configuration, with the water source coming directly to toilet from wall. can i just install a T turning it counter clockwise and eliminate the need for that right arm(water source) in your picture? Well i cant send a pic in here, do you have a way i can send it to you?
Hello Kathy! Thanks for watching and our apologies for getting back to you so late. Have you already installed the Tushy? Did you use a different method? If I understand your question correctly, I do not believe that you could eliminate the 90 degree elbow as the PEX pipe does not have enough bend to it.
We have Progressive Insurance as well. I had a claim on body damage on my previous Airstream and the were awesome to deal with. We went with them again on our 2023 Airstream Classic we just bought a few days ago.
I completely agree, Progressive did an awesome job and I would highly recommend them. Congrats on the '23 Classic. Once the kids are in college that is the model we will be in the market for.
This is awesome. My wife and I just bought a 27 FBQ and will be going full-time in January. I’ve been tasked with figuring out shelves, and I do not want to put holes into the Airstream. After the bottom shelf, how did you secure the remaining shelves on the refrigerator side of the closet? Also, how has everything held up? Would you do the same again? Any adjustments?
Hi Scott and my apologies for the late response. Although I'm sure you have found a solution by now, I wanted to follow up to your questions. I installed a slim shelf support that is screwed into the refrigerator wall side. Two small screws that I can patch if we ever sell. The shelves have held up extremely well with no issues or movement, but net time or possible in the future I would probably switch to a lighter system using wire baskets (to reduce weight and allow more air flow). But this was a great solution for the price. Thanks for watching and safe travels!
Hey y’all from San Antonio, Tx! I have a 2018 Airstream Flying cloud 26 RB & would love to make it to Massachusetts. How cool that y’all took the ferry w it to Martha’s Vineyard. Those are wonderful memories for you & your kids. Love love that! I was just in Boston and the cape this past September. While there I saw a Bambi in Provincetown and wished to god I could trade places w them! I know what you mean about the LOBSTA rolls. They were delicious. Safe journeys
I love the video guys. Very well done and fun to watch. Excellent hike. I just subscribed to your channel. I started my channel recently and am always looking for inspiration. Let’s stay connected!
Thanks for checking it out and subscribing! We were in Harpers Ferry, WV recently and spoke to many hikers doing the Appalachian Trail. It’s always been my wife’s dream so she was super excited to see a piece of it in person. We will definitely be checking your channel out! Safe travels!
Hello! I'm late to the party here...hope you guys are still active. Excellent video, and I believe that I have the same model that you two have...27' Globetrotter with QFB. Your content is inspiring and give me a lot of ideas. However, I did have one particular question. Those two sink covers, made of the same material as the countertop, they came with the Airstream. The function is to expand your counter top and cover the sink. But they are not designed to be in place over the sink when towing, as I quickly learned. Later, I discovered there is a very specific place to store those items, and that is in the upper left storage locker over the range. You will see a small carpeted section, with two screws covered in rubber. So the two sink cover parts fit very snugly in there, by design, to store when towing. How do you manage with those two sink covers? I noticed that in your video you have that locker dedicated for storage items...so what do you do with those two heavy Corian sink covers? Thank you for your reply...you are the experts, and I am a just a newbie....
First off, Thank You so much for checking out the channel and we hope you enjoy the content! Second, we definitely aren’t experts by any means and we are constantly screwing up, learning and adjusting on the fly (guess it kinda comes with the territory). The sink covers have been an evolving process. We quickly realized that we only used one and decided to leave the other at home. We had stored them in the “Airstream recommended” spot in the overhead cabinet originally but then either by accident or laziness (can’t remember which) we just left them in the sink during travel and that just became the new location. When we are at a site we relocate/repurpose it as a stove backsplash to help keep the aluminum clean. Hope this helps and if you have any suggestions please feel free to share! Thanks again!
@@streamindreams thank you for your response! I'm assuming that when you, "left them in the sink", you meant you left them inside the sink, laying on the bottom of the sink, as opposed being in place, functioning as a sink cover. Simple solution! Love it.
Thanking you so much for being so generous with your time I’m retired I am by myself thinking of buying an airstream and a diesel pick up probably 4/4 2/4ton Dodge you my friend have showed me and your family how you pack for not just a family but pack right and sanitary and clean just what I’m looking for I’ll be happy to give you a thumbs up and subscribe to your channel and wish your family health happiness and good luck in your travels🐶😎 sincerely Don and Rosie
Thank you So much for the kind words, we are happy you enjoyed the video! Our advice would be to a top thinking and take the plunge. We have loved having our silver beauty and our only regret is that we can’t spend even more time with her. Thank you for watching and hopefully we will see you down the road!
Do try Mrs. Wilkes' - the food is delicious and the service is great! But know this: it is Southern food. It is served boarding style - that means you have to pass each bowl to your neighbor and they should also pass each bowl to their neighbors. That is my only complaint about Mrs. Wilkes' that Yankees don't know how to pass food. the food is delicious and the service is great too! Well worth the wait and the price.
