Allies or Enemies and Sleeping Giants are probably my favourite Crane Wives songs, so its very fitting that you made them neighbours in this playlist :)
I love their song curses but I just can not listen to it while driving, every time something bad happened while in my car has happened while listening to that wonderous song
I love their music so much that I put it on as background music when I am working. I wish they got more attention, though I would love to go to a concert of theirs here eventually when I can find one near me.
This is the only thing getting through my school assignments and shitty mental health. I'm so glad I can play this on the school chromebook. Thank you.
i love the crane wives but wasn't sure where to start with their less popular songs. really appreciate you putting songs that people haven't already heard in here
the school blocked most bands and i love this playlist cause i can listen to their music in class (this is my personal account cant comment with school one) just like to thank you
I got to see them live one day and it was such a banger. Especially when Steady, Steady came on everyone was jumping to that. You feel it in your bones when you hear it live. LMAO
I have to be fr right now became tell me why doea the start of canary in a coal mime sound like the beginning of an add. When i first heard it i thought it was and add and went to skip it but i lt wasn't
I knew about TCW before, but after having recently watched Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.... why does it lowkey sound like Lucy Gray.. LOL
I'm actually so proud of The Crane Wives cause i remember when they haven't got much listeners on spotify and now they have 1mln+ 😭😭 i remember when they had like 300k or smth
Never Love an Anchor got me the second time around. I had heard it before in passing but never really heard the lyrics and I was excited for it. And I listened and read the lyrics and grew more and more confused until the ending lines. Never soothed your fevers, never tied your shoes, never held you gently. It was sung by a mother to her child. My mother lost custody of me when I was 7. I listened to the song over again with this newfound knowledge and absolutely lost it.
Hey, to everyone who likes the Crane Wives: Check out the Accidentals. They’re another female-fronted band with very a pretty similar sound. If you’re looking for a good song to start with, “The Silence” is a pretty good introduction to their music.
These guys are really underrated but they're so good, I feel that more people need to know about them. They've got such good songs that I'm always surprised when I hear that my friends don't know about them.
listening to the crane wives is like being a werewolf who's running in the woods, trying to escape those who mean to hunt you, it's being able to feel the wet grass underneath your feet and hear every noise of the night, the air smelling of a metallic thick rain scent that fills your lungs completely when you're trying to catch your breath
I've been listening to them since 2020 and I've been gatekeeping them since then ahaha. But if you liked The Crane Wives, listen to Delta Rae and The Unwanted Animal.
