The real joy was the late 1950s and into the 1960s when as a boy I was with my group of friends able to see - both at CJ and Wimbledon that we could also easily reach - all sorts of steam services mixed in with the classic green EMUs. Sorry, no time machine available!
Nice to see some young people taking an interest in the modern scene . I spent many hours at Kings Cross watching the comings and goings in the 1970s. The 91s are the last generation of true East Coast motive power. Enjoy them whilst you still can.

Surely those red coaches didn't need 3 engines on the front and another on the back in order to move them? Surely 1 could have done the job? Maybe 2? There were only like 3 coaches.
Gone are the days of 12 coach trains with a Buleid on the front and banker on the back from St Davids. I'm surprised that they haven't decimated the platforms at Exeter Central.
I always thought it was hilarious how the voice has this weird dip in the middle "Train now approaching platform 8 is the 13:46 *TrAnSpOrT-FoR-WaLeS* service to Penarth calling at..." Also that first train, wat the heck is that carriage in the middle, its like a mini-carriage, i've never seen that before, wtf lol Nice vid bruh

I always thought Pacers were banned from running over SR third rail lines, something to do with a risk of them shorting out. There was always speculation that it was really that the Southern Region didn't want to risk getting any assigned to them. The fact that this one can run around on SR tracks without issues suggests there may be some truth in that.
