If you just started this game, you should watch some beginner's guide of this game. I recommend first going to Squin where you have a lot of mines and recruits. You can mine for cats and use the cats to recruit more and mine more to get more cats. Every recruit is a good human resource, until you hit to food limit that you can obtain from the bars. It also has a lot of shops for you to buy and sell things. Kenshi is a good single player game that allows you to grow an army. Many people don't like the concept of building an army and play it like a small gang or even solo game which is a mistake because this game allows you to research on farming, mining, weapons smithing, armor smithing, crossbow smithing, ... to create everything that you need to build a huge army. I currently have 91 crew members, including animals, on day 70. My goal is to recruit an army of 100 and train them as both fighters and archers. Too many players rely on cheating and cheesing to create a couple of strong fighters. But that is not the real design of the game.
Part of me feels bad for recommending a game that is very nearly torture porn. But I also love this game cause once you get to the meat and potatoes of it, it's like a story that writes itself. In my first playthrough, I had my arms ripped off by rabid dogs. After being saved by a samurai chief, I managed to steal some food and crappy robotic arms. After 50 days or so in the game, I became a samurai bounty hunter and then I realized slavery was wrong. If I was a half-decent writer, that could almost be a book!
i've barely scratched the surface and have already had a lot of fun playing it (despite the near death experiences lol). honestly, thanks for the rec. like on top of this play through i made a slave and spent like 40 in game days grinding out skills before running for the hills... currently in jail for getting caught stealing which was funny in itself cuz like guy didn't catch me picking the lock just caught me stealthing. in my head all i could see was my scorchlander with her hands up all like "nooo i wasn't doing anything" before immediately getting bodied.
My first playthrough, I walked out of the first town, got beaten to a pulp by starving bandits, enslaved, then walked into Beakthing territory.. Suffice to say, it did not last long. Gotta love Kenshi, it's a fantastic time when you manage to struggle and somehow survive.
Thank you for trying out our server 🥰!! ^^ We have released a new database accessible directly via our website (dungeons, items, quests and much more). We look forward to continuing to work on and improve the overall server experience.
thank you for setting up the server! i'll have to check it out again. i've been itching to play more but things are busy until the end of the year. u_u
for the quest dialogue i'm using is DialogueUI, big recommend, it makes reading quest text easier if you aren't a quick skip all the quests and do the this objective type
probably not going to watch the whole thing(drunk and playing a different game with this as background), so sorry if you figured it out later or I just missed it, but once you have a lit torch you can use it to light other torches. they go out if you enter water with them in hand. they also last forever if you put them in a torch holder, I usually have one in my smithy for lighting the stuff. there are also mods for skills if you want to get better as you do things. also some mods that just make sense, like being able to melt tool and weapon heads. mod for prospecting to show upon your map as well. also windmills are ridiculously underpowered even compared to irl, so might be good to get a mod for that too.
I didn't know you would play it so soon! Oh well, I subbed to you on Twitch and all that jazz. I hope you liked the game and play it some more. I'd love to chip in on the chat.
@@CrowningBrowning as you'll see on the vod that goes up on thurs i already have over 20 hours into the game lol. tho a good chunk of that was me starting a slave and grinding skills in the bg while i worked. i will probably play some more on stream, there's so much i want to do and explore, thank you for the suggestion
Tip about boars. They are normally a passive mob. Only time I seen it aggressive is when they are rasing their offspring. So if you can see their ynglings nearby treat boar as an aggressive mob.
I absolutely love Wuk Lamat. She is exactly the kind of person we need for the new adventure and she is just so adorable! I love her braggish mannerisms, those little hesitations when shes on over her head and her precious little kitty face
@@AraNiyaVoDs Agreed. I'm a big FFIX fanboy, so the more it gets referenced the happier I am. lol My big hope at the moment is that the Collector's Edition bonuses include a Mage Masher weapon for Viper.
@@WhatKindOfNameNow IX holds a special place in my heart as the first FF game i ever finished. oh man mage masher would be really cool. i need to replay IX sometimes, it's my fav but i haven't played the game since around the time it released
@@AraNiyaVoDs That's actually a similar reason as to why I'm a fanboy for it. Watching my older brother play it when it was new was my first exposure to Final Fantasy as a franchise. Then when I got a PS1, I wanted to get a copy of IX so I could play it myself, but the store only had VIII. So, it ended up being the second FF I ever beat, but it's still my favorite. lol
