One of the worst air raid alarms ever. Im Swedish, they tested this alarm yesterday 100 meters from where i live, and all i can say is, if i was sleeping that alarm would not wake me up. Its also confusing, cause the diffrent alarms sound so simular except for the time they make a sound. What i associate with air alarms are like the ones they use in Ukraine. USA and such, and simular things to those that we all heard in movies before.

Hatte zwar keine direkte Auswirkung auf die bevölkerung, die Kaverne, in der sich der >reaktor befand, wurde aber hochgradig kontaminiert. Am 21. Januar 1969 wurde der Betrieb nach einer Revision wieder aufgenommen. Während der Steigerung der Reaktorleistung kam es zur Überhitzung mehrerer Brennelemente. Brennelement Nr. 59 erhitzte sich so stark, dass es schmolz und schliesslich auch das Druckrohr zum Bersten brachte. Dabei wurden 1100 kg schweres Wasser, geschmolzenes radioaktives Material und radioaktive Gase in die Reaktorkaverne geschleudert. Die aus dem geschmolzenen Uran freigesetzten Aktivstoffe lösten wenige Sekunden vor dem Bersten des Druckrohres eine Schnellabschaltung des Reaktors aus.
