Thank you, volunteers! This shows that America still has something to help seniors. Now that there are more seniors having to live in vehicles to make ends meet. I hope that there can be a way for the program to adjust to help those needy seniors as well.
She walks into the kitchen and says "I'm ready for some food production" pulls trays out of cooler and puts them back in. Those trays of food come from a giant factory in a hidden location. They imply that they have chefs in kitchens near you cooking and sealing these meals. They also don't deliver single meals in person. They drop a box on your porch with a weeks supply of the most horrible food you've ever eaten. All meats are ground rubberized Chicken, beef, pork whatever, it's worse than prison food. deanonkathsphone
I just volunteered for Equinox to deliver Thanksgiving meals and it was an amazing experience, I want to volunteer for Meals on Wheels. I love thankful all of the people are ❤️
2021 im a former employee Salvation Army meals on wheels try to re-apply for driver job, i’ve learned through other acquaintance that this place is ass-kissing job if you don’t do or listen to upper management they don’t want you there mass holes Bunch of old farts working there I was told they don’t like me and they don’t want me back well screw them they could go to hell and keep kissing ass that’s what they’re good for this job is a joke I’m glad I didn’t want to get a accepted even if they were going to pay me $20 an hour mass holes all of them. Wont you guys grow up and hire someone that is your guys age so you guys could all be mass holes and for the German boss, asshole you’re the biggest joke of the All.. oh ass kissers oh yeah they didn’t want me to come back that’s why they go ass other employees do you want this former employee back bunch of whiners and babies all grown up saying that I complain too much when they’re a lot older than me and they can’t even do the simple job what are you guys retired all mass holes just there for the money and schedule schedule paid holidays don’t even waste my time anymore with them I’m glad where I’m at now at least I know that I don’t have to deal with mass holes like them anymore. Anchorage Meals on wheels, screw all you guys I hope one day you you guys will find out when all mass holes what do you guys are.

It looks like only people with good social skills could be a meals on wheels volunteer.. I wanted to volunteer but I lack social skills, I'm extremely shy, i suffer from social anxiety and additionally my spoken English isn't that good.

High in sodium, too many carbs and the food doesn't look appetizing. In fact their meat, chicken and so called spare ribs are all processed. Once in a while they'll give you what is supposed to be sliced beef and it's gross. It smells like it's spoiled and tastes bad. Sometimes they will doctor it up with too much black pepper to mask the taste which only makes it taste even worse. The mashed potatoes are real and they are pre frozen only to be defrosted. If you want added protein, you'll find pieces of worms you know the kind that some fresh potatoes have and you have to remove them first before you prepare the potatoes. Oh and when your signing up for the program, someone from the office will come to your house to fill out an application. One of the questions they ask is are you allergic to any food. If you tell them what it is, it will be written down. Now the problem is, you'll receive from time to time exactly what your allergic to. What's the sense of asking if they going to give you what you can't eat? Today's lunch I thew it away because It has exactly what I can't eat. So now I'll make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch. The majority of the time lunch is my only meal. As for this video, meals on wheels don't give you much food like they show in the video. I'm not the only person who complains about the food. Some of the food isn't bad and the people who deliver the food are really nice and I look forward to seeing them.
we should all be taking care of the aging as they all had some effect in are life without you realizing it. A great gift you can do this holiday is donate to your local meals on wheels as its the best gift you can give someone is giving them the gift of a warm meal and the chance to have human contact as some dont get a visitor very often.
meals on wheels in missouri is crap.2.00 a meal to the consumer and the rest of the cost to the government is 6.00 which adds up to 8.00 a meal you could get fast food for this.you usually get 2 ounces of chicken breast potato salad and mashed potatoes and a side salad and lukewarm milk thats been sitting around to the point of being unsafe and the chicken breast is tough could make a senior choke.For 8.00 you could get a footlong at subway with vegetables is more healthy then what they give you.If the government is going to pay this much they probably could get actual restaurants deliver something different every day.The meals on wheel in missouri the local hospital runs and the hospital has moldy food in their cafetaria.Whos pocketing all this extra money it dont cost near 8.00 a meal for this unedible crap.
No meal for my Dad. They turned him down big time. He cant walk, cant talk, cant feed himself. Living off a limited income based off of his pension and social security. Thanks for nothing meals on wheels.
Zudemaster, your dad isn't missing anything. The food is gross. Tonight I had American chop suey that had ice crystals and freezer burn. I had green beans once again. I use to like them but not any more. In the TV dinner, there was something that was unrecognizable. I figured I would have a taste and I couldn't figure out what it was suppose to be, this had absolutely no taste so I didn't bother with it.The meals through out the month are pretty much repeats. Either the food taste like a salt shaker was poured on it. As I'm sitting here writing this, I'm feeling nauseated and getting the start of a headache.
The only people Trump was bulling have been bulling us for decades. I wish we had him back because now look at the country and the idiot we have in office now what can't even remember what day it is unless his staff tells him every five minutes.
