Here to put the ‘Try’ in Country: original music and occasional covers from the Ozark hills, by warbler, whistler and illustrator, Nick Shoulders. Nickshoulders.com
A truly beautiful voice. Concrete reverb. Like Dusty Springfield recording in the studio hallways in the 1960s. Nick Shoulders has the real pipes. God bless. Thanks Nick. Bravo.
A beautiful song Nick. I find that your music comforts me that I am part of a whole generation facing this future. Thank you for making me feel less alone.
got a love a tunnel sound, i used to play my mando in an underpass in the village, until i found out people could hear me very loudly :) sadly i don't have the angelic voice of this man.
Love Nick Shoulders but too much echo and cannot pick out a single word he's singing. I'll have to go and find another version to see what it's all about.
There are probably errors but here goes: Through the smoke, a sun still shines When all's lost, these words you'll find Grab a hand and lift your eyes While the waters slowly rise Since the year that I was born You in power have been warned Starve the truth and spread the lies Now these waters surely rise Fire & flood and toil & pain Resistance of the soil and rain Cling to joy, don't let it die Like the waters we will rise Like the waters we will rise ✊
