Excellent overview, Sarah Beth. Being left handed I do use EF and F nibs for most of my writing and you confirmed that shimmer inks would work best for me. I do have one fude nib I may try using a summer ink but I still would be hesitant. I have been curious about stub nibs but would probably like something narrower than 1.1mm. Do they make a 0.9 mm stub?

If anyone doesn’t know how this pen works. The plunger Pushes all the air out one the way down creating a vacuum, and then the plunger goes into a wider diameter hole that lets air and ink rush into the vacuum chamber
Will you recommend a vacuum fill fountain pen with stub, signature, music, or other wide ink delivery nib that has good ink reservoir volume, and excellent reliability?
One of my best is to drag a sharp knife through the ink onto a patch of the paper. You can eyedrop a little onto the paper or dip the knife into the ink and get a liberal amount on the blade. It seems to show a lot more than other methods.
Not a new model. I believe this model has been around for decades, although it is less talked about than other gold-nibbed Pilots. My friend purchased one in 2019.
