my defective SSHD was not spinning and undetected in bios, i put the new Donor PCB board and moved the firmware bios chip from bad board to donor , now the SSHD it spinning motor and it detected in bios, however i dont hear moveing heads and i cant initialize the disk in windows. What can i do next?
I tried to substitute the pcb board with an identical one by myself, but now i'm not able to understand which one is the original one... is there a way to understand it?

My 14 year old Little Disk gave up some weeks ago. I too wondered how to open the plastic housing. You can see that the front side (with the cable and the power pin) is build into the housing. If you use a stiff and sturdy tool it is possible to break the glued parts of the housing. Do use a metal tool like a screwdriver, because you can damage the electronic parts inside. I used the LEGO tool for parting blocks and other elements. If you hear a "crack" on both sides of the top (readable LaCie name) the two parts loosen and you can slide the electronics out of the black box. Then follow the instructions of DataPro Data recovery Lab and hopefully you can save your Little Black Box. Give it a try!

with a hot air soldering gun...or a point tip soldering iron , solder sucker and wick and some solder flux... the BIOS chip has 4 solder joints both sides ...pretty easy/

Hi, my HDD of the same model as the video was connected to the wrong voltage and ended up burning the logic board, as shown in the video I bought an identical board and changed the BIOS, however, the HDD does not spin, the new logic board is fine and it is recognized on the PC, but HDD does not spin at all, what could have happened?
