We are not meant to live in isolation, but to find and fulfil ourselves through the love of others. (Gen 2:18, 21-25). The marriage covenant, through which a man and a woman form with each other an intimate communion of life and love, is ordered to the good of the couple as well as to the generation and education of children. The Church regards the sacrament of matrimony as signifying the union of Christ and the Church. The sacrament gives spouses the grace to love each other with the love which Christ has loved the Church. The sacrament of matrimony perfects the human love of spouses, strengthens their indissoluble unity and sanctifies them on the way to eternal life.
And why is mine the only comment on this? I could suspect that there is a value in keeping the evangelicals away from the typically liberal critical thinkers
So basically, people use God as a crutch, or Messiah, to reason? If people only appeal to God, when they’re in a bad position, isn’t that really just an excuse to ignore your own personal deficiencies? Or maybe the idea is that if you acquiesce to God, then you will overcome those deficiencies… I challenged that idea by the fact that if God creators in his image, and we have problem-solving capability, then it’s kind of doing a disservice to the big guy to not exercise that ability he gave us…I’m not sorry to say that God’s probably pretty embarrassed of all the stupid people floating around the planet
My stepdad raised me since I was 2 years old, I remember on my 21 birthday I had some friends over and he identified himself as my step-dad and I said "don't listen to this old fart, he's my dad." I looked at him and he started tearing up and I had never seen this massive gorilla cry. And it was the first time he gave me a hug. It was actually quite wholesome.
My parents adopted both me and my sister. My sister always felt the need to seek out her biological family and hopefully meet them. I never had any of those feelings. I knew who my "real" parents were. Dave and Pauline, who raised me. ❤

My long suffering question is this. To those born male and then go through puberty to find from the waist up they are 💯 female... reproductively male, in every other aspect physically female. Naturally it will be men who find them attractive and will approach them initially. Because they are also male they're attracted to females. For them to find a female partner, that woman need be attracted to women. That's not science.. not natural selection..that's God showing His perfect creation, completely in His own image and telling the rest of us that it is NOT a sin to love them, want them or marry them. Christ was fully human and fully divine. An apostle of Yahweh and Yahweh himself. A God, the one true God, and yet only a man. The childhood of Christ was no metaphor, no comparison to be made to the normal man. It was necessary to make Christ the perfect vessel of all the sins of man. And I don't think you, or even I, capture the complexity of that idea.

Tithing is under the Old Testament, (covenant). The new testament (covenant) says to give of your abundance. We are not bound by law! But churches and pastors will try to beat you over the head about tithing. That's why they care about membership!
