Summer heat rotted it out, had a literal swarm of maggots in my basement and not just in the bucket. Basement was crawling with em put it that way. And yeah smelled like death. Also a sick cow is worse than rotten meat. Rotted vegetation factually has more bacteria in it than meat so any rotten vegetation smells worse than meat.

This reminds me of a passenger on a Royal Caribbean Cruise ship, he asked a group of us (we're in Mexico at the time) how do we get to work! we thought he was kidding, he looked at us confused, wondering why we were laughing- so an officer told him , on the daily helicopter trips!! he replied "really? that's sounds like so much fun!!" of course they live on the yacht, when its time for dry docking- most go home for vacation to return at an appointed date to take duty once again..It has absolutely nothing to do with 'buying ppl and putting them on floating place and they call that their home" this guy needs to be in touch with a bit of reality sometimes- this is how the multi billion dollar cruise industry works my friend- there's nothing to wrap your head around, its just functionality- and tbh the last thing you worry about while you're travelling the world is your mail!! lol
As a surfer, I can confirm that getting salt water blasted through your ears and nasal cavities doesn't feel too good. Have you ever seen a drop of ocean water under a microscope? I like to think each time I go out, I'm getting a kind of weird mixture of microorganisms in most* of my orifices. All I know is 99% of the time, I feel awesome after surfing. Is it partly because of all those little guys? Who knows. But it's fun to think about.
