A studly battle. Us California wimps use a southern california rail rod with a long foregrip from rods builders like (seeker, calstar, united composites to name a few) and allows us to use the gunnel rail for leverage to save us from blowing out our forearms. Different styles and methods for different regions I suppose. Still, You NZ guys are spoiled with an awesome in-shore and off-shore big bluefin fishery. Thx for the entertainment.
