This uke looks and sounds beautiful! Never come across curly sapele. Sapele is definitely an under-rated wood and has a huge variety in quality that fall under that name. I have owned a straight-grained sapele uke in the past and played others that were similarly very sweet and warm in tone, which sounded akin to koa imo :)
Looks very comfortable to play with the thin body and has such a resonant, deep mellow tone. V nice intro to Island Style Mika, running through the chords as arpeggios sets the song up so well!
This is extraordinary. I post piano content myself and it’s always an honour to see other musicians play different styles of music. Spectacular performance! Keep it up 👍🏾 Always gotta support small content creators because they always have such admirable uniqueness that’s hard to come across. You definitely deserve more subs from that and it just gave me inspiration for my own channel for more video ideas. Thank you and please make sure you upload as much as possible. Stay consistent because you’re going places 🙏
Moore Bettah Alert. Just gorgeous. I wonder how many Baritones Master Luthier Mr Moore has made. Thank you for demonstrating such a pinnacle of instruments. Have a great week.
Lovely Uke, don’t see many of these come up for sale. Agree the darker Koa is also another difference. Great playing and run through as usual. Have a great week.
Real great run through, the wood is so classy and that scoop is unique. Always liked it. Mr DaSilva can certainly make beautiful instruments. Thanks for sharing.
I have nearly the exact same model, maybe a bit older. I switched out the Low G strings with high ones once I bought it... But it plays like a dream. Very warm sounding. That and my more modern C1K Martin are my go-to ukes.
very nice... i'm in the sky with angels ! which is the reference of your ukulele ? None Ko'olau ukulele in your site to the brand Ko'olau WHY ? is it another brand now ? thanks for your answers. It's important for me before to make a purchase.
Such a rare and classy instrument. Love all the appointments. Have a great week, can’t wait to catch up on the your other run through of your fantastic instruments. Have a great week.
What a bundle of joy, aesthetically stunning and such a great soprano sound. Someone is going to be happy with this legendary master luthier build. Have a great week and great showcase.
Beautiful Koa on the Uke, how holographic is the wood, even with a satin finish. Ko'olau are fantastic and sound unique. Every time I hear one…..think hopefully may be one day. Great showcase.
Another beauty, have said this before. What a time to be a Uke player with so many luscious and master crafted instruments. Thanks for showcasing. Have a great week..
Where on earth do you guys find so many unique historic models. So blessed for your podcast and showcasing. Lovely looking and sounds so warm. Have a great week
