Love my Vxr, 127k still purrs like a beast, and forever still chasing more with it😂😂 Not done donny’ watched Btcc there a few times… once mods are done this winter think I’ll give it a go next year… keep up the great content though!
Great track. Arguably one of the best in the UK… don’t be put off by the higher price tag for a day, it’s worth it. Track Obsession usually do a cheaper day there the Monday after download festival in June as there’s an hour less track time but it’s still enough.
Ive got the 7.5 R estate and i love it, a great all rounder had the 7 before it with the 6 speed DSG but the 7.5 has a 7 speed which i find a massive difference
Do like the 7.5… Sadly got rid of this as I just wasn’t enjoying it enough. I think I’d like to get back in a 7.5 again but probably a tuned GTI in manual. Not a slate on them at all. It did what it was supposed to do incredibly well!!
Still got her then mate I sold mine in January this year 😢 had no room for 3 cars and wasn't getting used in winter but gone to a person I know who's taking gd care of it
I have, presently feeling sorry for itself though. Recently had some issues with it and with a ring trip coming up I had no time to sort it out so I’ve been using my new Clio 200 a lot! Will be back though!
Hi mate. Thanks for watching. That’s something I have been planning on doing at some point along with other vids I’ve had ideas for. Lack of time gets in the way mind! Watch this space. I’ll upload something at some point!
Blimey, long time ago! I think it was late 13s on a good run that day but mostly made up of 13s and 15s. Always been a fan of track driving over the strip and drag!
@@R77DVR i don't no yet, its on his way, please tell me its worth the 1100 euro because in the Netherlands you have to pay 200 euros extra to get it deliverd🙈🙈
Definitely worth it. I have the CAE one at the moment which is great but hard work. ZPOs are much lighter and nicer to drive with. You’ve made the right choice my man 👊🏻
Hi mate I saw you have rear camber shims. Just wondering if you worked out how thick a shim for how much camber change? Like if a 1mm shim is out in the bottom two bolts on the rear beam what kind of change will it make and does it effect the toe as well. if you happen to know will save me a lot of stuffing around. Cheers mate. Nice track day vids btw.
Hi mate. I never fitted these ones but I’m sure they are the whiteline ones you can buy from there and Courtney sport. They provide an extra - 0.5 degrees of negative camber so mine runs -1.9 sure it gives extra toe also. Try this link… www.courtenaysport.co.uk/Camber-Toe-Shim-Rear-KCA383 Thanks re the vids, to keep up the content I’ve had to move away from blight crap so glad to know it’s being enjoyed or useful 👍🏼
From my experience of owning one the 02 sensor is a problem Gearbox Anti roll bar is badly needed. On thr good side the only performance car i would pick ove it is te rs265 megane. A simple remap and a phew cheap modifications is the difference between beating a 333bhp focus st225 and staying up with a bmw m4 and one or too odd porsches. Most definetly a car i will get again.
Yep. Agreed. Been through a few 02 Sensors across the three I’ve now owned. Thanks for watching, still can’t believe people still watch this video all these years on!
Oh it’s got legs, piper fast road cams, RND vernier pulleys and a 7700 rpm rev limit… not always used to it’s full potential but she moves well… only thing I could possibly complain about is being a K06 there’s a tad bit of lag over a K04 but nothing to get hugely upset or frustrated over
Nice spec… I fancy the Klassen exhaust mani and a KRS Stage 3 but only when this current turbo has its day. Not yearning for any more power at present and tbh I’m planning on stopping anything more on this and putting into a new project
@@R77DVR nice they look like 19s iv just got a set of Bola csr 18s gloss black with 20mm spacers on the back I would love to put 19s on but it drives spot on doesn't feel like u smashed the car to bit every time u hit a pot hole 🤣
Mate sounds mint looks the bollacks 😎 and goes round corners impressive 👌 I need to do a few things to mine witch is on your car 100% buzzing to finely see the beast in action 👍
Regarding the dreaded "torque steer" : i don't know about you, but I tend to keep my hands on the wheel when flooring it. And the amount of force required to keep it straight is something a six-year-old can easily possess. And that coming from an owner of a 500 ps plus car (with wavetrack diff and rear antiroll bar). If you like it...invest in it. Pure fan car.
Honest opinion? Don’t bother just wait and go full system… I was somewhat underwhelmed by this set up which is why I changed it and went for Tegiwa Cat Back
Top vid mate and honest review 👏 I Love my VXR its the best and most exciting car I've ever owned and I'm only running 250ish Bhp. Whiteline RARB on the list and hopefully 300 bhp by summer 💣💥🔥🔥 only if you hit a lumpy bit of road when powering up i find it a bit twitchy otherwise no Torque steer even with ESP Off imo. Modern drivers rely way too much on ''ecu control' for handling and get scared of driving the car with its stabilisers off. They're really missing out on the real handling capabilities and fun the car has too offer. Bit of an essay lol but I hope you understand the message I'm trying to convey. Cheers Pete.
For the money, ie a 10 plate with 40k for example, priced at under £10,000 they are ok. For the same money, you are looking at a 100,000 miles + M135i albeit on a newer 13 plate. Personally I know which I'd have, because I prefer RWD, more power, better quality interior, and reliability. But, each to their own.
Good to see you back Ry, if you want another family estate car that isn’t a safe bet, that spins all 4 wheels when you nail it, that is just insanely fast, you can buy my RS6 if you like lol. 732bhp 990NM will put a smile on your face. Might scare the mrs and kids though……..my wife is very scared of it lol!!
