Procedurally generated = dumb ai aka exactly what and how you explained it. Parameters for changes allowed already worked out and set. Exactly what you said. AI used for the end to clean up would be too problematic and easily breakable. I am assuming they have the ai adjust or make correction. So not AI but AI really. So I would say you put it perfectly and you have a solid grasp and understanding of it. 9:01 - 😂 had me for a moment, I thought you went for Frog. Great video, thank you for your time.
Which orb, pilot, captain, instacomposer, scaler allows me to take an old song and ad bass and drums to finish it? It has vocals is noisy so need minimal bass and drums to match empty spaces to avoid phasing so spacing. Which plug-in you recommend thanks? I could take the track put into midi but I don’t have stems so it’s a mess better to add on bass drums ducked or mspectral for multiple ducking. Which software gives me matching bass and drums no ducking? House.
I hate to make ad hom attacks but you need a stylist. This look would have been bad in 08 but in 24 if this isn’t ironic … anyway I like visco so that’s what brought me here
You have to embrace the whole underground Lofi Hip Hop culture. DJs use this a lot for one shot samples. Others like me, just hate using a DAW for music. It's Hella powerful. Once I figured it out, I love it.
Right now it is selling for $116 which, going by this very honest and much needed review, is way too much. Honestly doesn't look much better than Captain Plugins really, procedurally generated notes based on a pre set parameter.
The tool is impressive to say the least, would love to spotlight you on the podcast I host, I mostly discuss the intersection of arts, culture & technology
CONGRATULATIONS GABE! Good man, passing on 1st try. Cheers to ur continued success, brother. Btw, if u just wanna entertain urself on Beat Goblin chan ... I don't know how it happened, but I started getting all these Breakcore clips of FL Studio,. And I started liking it!! I mean come on!? FL? But the stock plugins are Cray..filters sound REALLY wet and lush...check it out brother.
Beat fkn Goblin?! I didn't even know u had a second chan! Liked and subscribed! Sick beat too bro! Also if u like Infiltrator, u should check out Sugar Bytes' Looperator...SB has a bunch of good plugins of that ilk.
@@BeatGoblin Oh, I completely understand. If you ever play out live in the SF Bay area or the Santa Cruz area I'd love to come out and see your set! I just played out live for the first time in 16 years at an electronic music open mic in Santa Cruz at Indexical. It was a blast.
Finally an answer to the mystery I was missing your content. Congratulations on your PE sounds pretty arduous. I’m a manufacturing Engineer BTW now semi retired 😀
Nuts but great. I had a Cocker spaniel that was very vocal and used to sound like that. Must try recording my current dog ( a pretty vocal three legged lurcher and daft as a brush !)
Congrats on the PE Gabe! I find your approach to life so refreshing to see in this RU-vid ecosystem. You are a great role model for the younger generation imho (from my "old" 45yo point of view at least). Otherwise, it's always a pleasure watching your stuff and to me, I love just seeing you build tracks and your process while doing so as it's useful for myself when I'm finally able to put a few hours into doing music. There are more than enough channels doing reviews and trying to trigger our GAS already, that's not why I watched your channel in the first place.
Congratulations man! Really happy for you :) I remember you flashed a Deluge up in your hands at one point? Any chance of seeing it make a second appearance on your channel at some point? The new firmware just made it so much better! Would love to hear your thoughts, even if they are negative ✌️
@@BeatGoblin awesome man! And no, it's the latest beta of the community firmware. It adds so much. Mutable instruments reverb, performance view, automation view, new delays, filters and arpeggiators. The list goes on and on. There is one stable community firmware out, but this new beta is kind of a step above. Either way, take your time. Official firmware is still decent, it's just the latest community firmware fixes a lot of the issues I had with it.
Good to see you back, Gabe! Congratulations on passing those "god-forsaken exams"! You ARE a professional now! With regards to playing live - have a look at the EMOM movements (Electronic Music Open Mic). I don't know where you are in California but there are definitely such events in San Francisco.
Welcome back! Once you are planning on doing live stuff, I hope you use Akai Force more. I really like the things you do musically, your way of thinking and the pedagogic way you explain concepts and techniques. And as I am about to purchase a Force for my own gear set, it would be nice to see how you approach its use on producing, recording and/or performing. Keep up! Cheers
Great to see you back Gabe! Congrats on the huge accomplishment! Do you plan on trying out the MPC in controller mode on either channel? Maybe mor in-depth on the main channel? To tie in some software and plugins with the hardware.
