I had rlly bad relaxed hair and got a big chop in 2021, this year it was shoulder length, i went to a salon and got it ironed to see the length and after a few days i washed my hair and saw i had rlly bad heat damage that affected the front of my hair ☹️ it was even falling off, i recently got the big chop but the heat damage is up to my roots (front of my hair back is fine) honestly idk what to do coz i cant rlly cut my damaged ends, if i do id have a buzz cut. Anyone have tips??? (Sorry for any bad grammar eng not my 1st language)
Use redken acidic bond treatment. Check the videos of a guy called the blowout professor he talks about how it fixes the damage for 98% if used once a week for a whilwb
@@hajarhajar8906 thank you SM, and yes before you replied I did search up ways on how to grow hair/ fix damaged hair, and he came up 🙏 I will def check that product out. I might have to save up for it
10:50 omg this is something I never thought about.. my hair length is uneven bc I big chopped a year or two ago so I’m glad I realized this! I also need to give my hair time!
just did a big chop again, i used to have neck-lengh hair with shirinkage but like half was dead/split i cut it all off and grew it back and big chopped again last month and regret it a lot
I have a layered cut and I want to grow it out, to get this length is it necessary to cut the length all even or can I still grow them out when layered?
Just so you guys now when your hair grows long your curl pattern wouldnt be as good and u can obviously see that from the photos she showed (no hate for the girl her hair is gorgeous)
You have a different curl type that she does, like tighter curls? Less wide/round curls. idk every hair type is different, cool how it still turned out real good tho.
I cut my hair about 3 months ago and it seems like it’s only grown like 1 1/2 to two inches(from above shoulder to top of armpit), and I know everyone keeps saying that the key to longer, healthier hair is moisture, but I just don’t know how to tell if it is dry. I’ve been trying to grow it out for the past few years after I initially cut it, but it doesn’t seem to be doing much. I have wavy hair and I don’t usually have it in any hairstyles, just sometimes a low loose ponytail and I use a leave in conditioner from “Mixed Chicks” Any suggestions to help it grow?
I had something like that, my hair is 3b though, it didn’t grow for years and it stayed at the same length. My biggest suggestion is finding a person who has the same hair type as you, also finding out your hair porosity and moisturizing it accordingly to it. Also please use hair masks! I used to always neglect them and that left my hair super dry and caused my hair to be brittle and break. Have an oiling schedule as well, I recommend castor oil if your hair is really thick or dry. I recommend buying the bounce curl brush and you won’t loose a lot of hair.
I have a routine, but for the past 10 years I never realised that I was missing moisture and I had my hair in tight buns a lot and notified breakage at the back. I’ve started adding a leave in conditioner because I don’t style my curls. I just have it either out to relax my scalp or I have it up. I used silk or dating pillowcases religiously and used t-shirts ti dry my hair (hit a microfibre towel now). -moisture -deep conditioner -strengthening (protein) hair mask -oiling (prepoo instead of just oiling after I wash it) I tried protective styles like twists and braids but they aren’t my style. I hate frizz and that makes me tighten the braids so I just undo it at the end if the day instead of keeping it in for a week. I’ll just do two fat braids and keep changing my partings when I have it up
I did the big chop in April, 8 months ago and my hair has grown over 6 inches. I am just now finding this video, so I will check out your growth tips as well. I am really enjoying my hair care journey the past few months. My hair is healthier now than it has ever been. Healthy hair equals long hair. I just started listening to your tips. For me I do need to deep condition my hair every wash. Very true, everyone's hair is different. Basically, for me it was finding the products that work well for my hair. Mostly inexpensive without any harsh chemicals, mostly natural ingredients. Read the ingredients. Then sticking to a healthy hair care routine that works well for you. This is how my hair grew over 6 inches in 8 months.
@@dialol2912 I use a lot of things. Nothing expensive. And I mix almost everything I use. I even have an organic DIY protein treatment I make. What I have learned it is more about how you care for your hair, than products. Fine products that you like and take really good care of your hair daily. Come up with what works for you.
Split ends affect the ends and go up. Your scalp and roots will always grow. The ends are how you maintain length instead of the length halting, the ends dont affect the roots, but if you dont take care of the ends, and you notice your hair isnt getting longer, its because the ends are breaking off. Do protective styles, wear silk/satin scarves bonnets, pillowcases and that will create less split ends
My hair grows out instead of straight down, so it becomes frizzy, fluffy, and grows outwards and I really want it to grow just straight down. Is there any tips anyone has like maybe subliminal or anything that helps grow it straight down. And I’m pretty sure girls with loser curls most likely have there hair grow straight down. If I’m not correct lmk.
yeah usually if you have 2c hair it goes straight down and even though I have a similar problem try using products that weigh down hair like gel ,curl cream, and making sure it’s moisturized so use a leave in.
It is because your hair type is more curly, therefore it needs to grow even more for it to lay down as there needs to be more weight from your hair. So you need to be more patient or you can chemically change your curly pattern which I do not recommend as it never looks that great and you have to redo damaging your hair. Just accept your natural hair and wait ❤
Solution Aptosis foods lolLies lies lies lies the culprit Is bran endosperm and germ Carbs starches if its not whole grain its preventing ur hair growth
I used to have really long curly hair but I fried it and since then been having loads of trouble with my hair.. it won’t grow because it keep snapping off 😭
😭 I know I need to cut off damage but there’s no way I’m doing that right now I want length so bad!!! my hair is shortttt & refuse to 1cm shorter. I will gladly cut it when I can at least keep the length at my shoulders My undamaged hair is like 1.5 inches cutting of all damage would basically be #8 buzz, which I would gladly do if it was flattering for my face shape
I have curly hair and i can assure you that you can wait until you feel comfortable, but make sure you'll be prepared, cause you have to. Otherwise, if you hair don't grow up so fast, probably you'll have to cut it, cause when a hair is pretty damaged on the ends this damage start to rise, and you can't balance that with a slow growth, then, PLEASE, know your hair!!! :)
I love using rosemary water for mine! I have had really great results with that! Also, satin scrunchies are a MUST! Learning how to do protective styles to sleep in a preserve your curls overnight is a huge help to keep your hair healthy!
@@suricatoestellar I don’t think I have to worry about that anymore as I cut my hair into a pixie around christmas… & it’s still just as short 😂 ain’t no way there’s any damage from dying my hair left 😂
Dry brushing/detangling is like…. Sweeping the outdoor ground…. Useless. U know people always said “job security” or endless work or whatever yeahp thats brushing dry curly hair!! I love when someone tries to give me hair advice and says dont use xyz towel (great in theory but not enough a diff for mento pay the money yet for a special towel/waste shirts that dont soak it in cause its thin) & they say “not supposed to brush wet hair 🙄” thats my fave line - i just move on because CLEARLY those ppl dont have MY curly hair 🐡😊
Excited to see it layered. Add an oil?! Gentle and light?! As a final layer after putting ur gel or whatever in…?! Flip head over again and use fingers/pick/comb to lift off the scalp and loosen a bit more/diffuse a teeejy bit just the scalp under neath area a weee hot for a taad more volume? Idk theories.
I CAN NOT WAIT til my hair is this loong! Im actually surprised i trimmed mine a few weeks back (massive damage i dont even have curl until ab 2/3 inches from my scalp/natural almost virgin hair) the rest has been fried thru bleach, relaxers/Perms ➰! And anyway i trimmed off the “see through” ends in little pig tails and i thot for SURE itd immediately feel soo short like it does when i go to a pro but honestly it HASNT! It feels like its deef growing.! And im not even taking hair growth vits!
I have hair just like you, but my hair is straight in the front and thick and curly in the back because of heat damage, I tried using an oil like you and my hair is finally starting to curl up again! Tysm! <3
