I've been a Chappell addict since March, can't tell you how many times I've heard all of Midwest Princess. On the first -- well, maybe second -- listen to Naked in Manhattan I got that "put your lips on mine, might go to hell but we'll probably be fine" Chappell purposely loaded that with multiple meanings and invited listeners to select and go with whichever they prefer. But Picture You's "both lips on the mirror"... damn! You're right Angie. She did the same thing there. Oof... how slow am I ? 😂 My main motivation for watching Chappell first-reaction vids is it brings me joy to see other people get just flabbergasted, happy and excited to first hear and realize how incredible she is. But the mirror insight is an example of another benefit. I don't expect there to be more depth to mine in her songs I've now pored over so much, but danged if there isn't still more in there that I've missed, but someone else will spot. Enjoyed it, thanks Angie ☺
This is my favorite performance of hers. The vibes are immaculate, the makeup on point, everyone is having a great time, and that rendition of Red Wine Supernova is EVERYTHING!
This is only my second video of yours but I love love LOVE your reactions!! Just gonna be 1000% real, I mostly watch POC reaction vids bc 95% of the ones I’ve seen from white ppl are very detached and analytical. But you have that real and free energy I love to see! This is why I watch reactions in the first place ♥️. I also love the way you edit. I can tell you really care about sharing her art more than your ego. Tho I’d personally like if your lil bubble can be a bit bigger :)
Honestly, “You gon' jump if A. G. made it” is so true. AG Cook’s own albums are so good, most of them are non vocal tracks (some people might not like that). Brooke Candy’s Candyland might be something interesting as well to react.
Loved watching your reaction to the album. Sabrina was so sassy and amazing in this one. Honestly, I would hate to be Shawn right now. As if 'Your car drove itself from LA to her thighs' wasn't bad enough, she went for the 'I promise the mushroom's aren't changing your life'. But I do love that she has a total IDGAF attitude here!❤
the guy in the suit is The Dare, producer of this song. He is referenced within the chorus of this song when she says "Send 'em to The Dare, yeah, I think he's with it"
Hi Angie! So glad you reacted to this album b/c I just listened to Hit Me Hard and Soft. I’m a guy (and I’m not gay) and I love your “music and makeup” videos! You’re so pretty w/o makeup but love watching you make yourself more beautiful! Loved the entire album so thank you again! 💜Tom.
There was no single beforehand, the album was released "raw". there are The Greatesz, Lunch and Bird of a Feader live and 4 skinny, Beards of a Feader, Wildflower and L'amour de ma vie all of them are one step better. really super good. This time they shared the production of the album 50:50 with Finneas. e.g. She made many of the piano/piano parts herself... as well as all the song lyrics. she is just very special.
Now you gotta check out the remix she’s put out. They all have features by Billie Eilish Addison Rae and Robyn. They all sound completely different from the original.
My mom began teaching me in my teens and I wrecked my family's only car, ever since then I've had a fear of driving. Now, nearly a decade later, I faced my fears and got behind the wheel again to begin learning. :') 18 is def not a late bloomer though, try being in your late 20s lol. I'm embarrassed to go at my big age and get my license but it needs to be done lol.
