Rolex is definitely the king in many various countries but definitely not for the South African market. Now that they are leaving you’re hearing more about it than when they were here Won’t make a difference because ADs and Grey Market will still sell it
@@TheDialWatchClub I think Rolex realized they’re not the market leader in terms of sales in SA, by brand they supersede most globally but not in SA. Probably strategically exiting so they can create some scarcity in the market. Sold pieces will pick up value, once that value increases there will be an increase in sales through ADs which is their only method of reaching the customer globally. Then probably re-enter the market when the disposal income levels increase.

You can get a Chinese watch and it’ll have a better finish than a “high horology” Rolex… If you want a good handmade watch, buy a German one. If you only want a Rolex no matter what, just buy a Tudor. They are making better watches anyway.
This fake exclusivity is complete bullshit. If they don’t want to sell you the watch you like, forget it and move to another brand. There is amazing choice on the market.
Interesting take, and some may even agree with you. Yes, it’s true Rolex is not the be-all-end-all. It all just depends on whether you subscribe to their type of exclusivity marketing or not, and whether you’re willing to play ball on their terms.
I love the response. I got my first Rolex this year from Rolex and now it’s like I’m part of this family. I displayed my knowledge and love for the brand and they called me in to get the Date Just 36 ref 126233 with diamond dial. Then they called me and asked if I would like a CPO 116234 Blue dial with roulette date wheel. I wanted a blue dial 2024. When I asked to get a black dial 126200 they went in the back and pulled one out the safe. They want to build a relationship with you. Not sell you a watch like most brands.

I’ve built a relationship with mayors and now I can get hard to get Rolex’s that peony’s like you dream about and hate online🤣with your miserable life. Gone back to work, breaks almost over and you on thin ice with management. Good day little buddy.
