Well that ain't right. Wish I knew what was going on here. My best guess is that there's some connector in the wrong place or a faulty circuit board, most likely behind the right knob. I have this machine. Came with the house, and it still works great! Would like to "upgrade" to an industrial Kenmore one of these days. But as long as parts are still able to be found, I doubt this thing will ever die.

Thank you so much for this video! I just installed the exact same light in my bathroom and it looks amazing.

Manufacturers of ceiling mounted electric gadgets should add coiled wires to their kits. I don’t know if it exists but I really think it could work.

Made to look too easy. Surely you had to look for studs or use Molly's.

want to change light mode - how do I get the panel off??

how would you install this if there is a open area above the light the width and length of the light? I am replacing a incandescent fixture in the soffit with a 1 by 1 led square panel.

Feit Led Panel @ Home Cheapo Fits tight to the ceiling

Ours doesn’t sit flush, I took a 48” level to the ceiling and it sat perfectly flush but this fixture once on the mount sits with about a 1/4” gap on both ends. Mounting plate needs to be longer with locking mechanism that pulls fixture tight to ceiling.

Last screw you installed went through sheetrock and not a stud, not good.

This fixture is a bitch to mount

I agree. The concept is good but trying to slide the light fixture onto the mounting bracket takes a lot of patience!

Thanks for making the video. I'm going to install 4 of these in our store. They seem plenty bright and I like the 4000k option and that they are low profile.

i noticed that the light is bleeding at the top of the fixture towards the ceiling from the fixture if you view from the entry door. Also it looks like theres a small gap between the wall and the fixture.

great video! Is the 1 - 2 line up indicator a sticker or label? is it removable or erasable? Thanks!

Scott Banks I don't think was screwing into sheetrock if you listen closely you can hear the tighten up to the plate

He did not go into studs clearly you can see the bolts he used were not wood screws or self-tappers, also you say the toggles they came with(which he ust have removed them from) in the begining of the video. Also when he drilled the holes when he broke through the drywall the drill quickly and freely went the rest of the way in, if it were studs the drilling would have been more labored after breaking through the drywall. I dont feel this is a safe install, specially if ever needing to maintain this light, but it's his home.

I’m freaking out. I had two 2’x2’ lights installed in the kitchen by an electrician. Didn’t notice at the time, but there are tons of fingerprints inside, so I have to take them off and clean them. I’m worried I won’t be able to get them back on. We shall see. This video at least gives me some idea how they go on in the first place. I replaced the chandelier and some other normal ceiling lights but I’ve never worked with the LED panels. I wish me luck.

What were you screwing into? I realize the fixture is lightweight, but are you concerned that the screws may pull out since you didn’t use the toggles?

I was screwing directly into the studs. I didn't realize that I left this part of the instructions out though. Thanks for commenting!

@@diyhustle that box that you screwed the plate into is going to be strong enough for those lightweight little things. I think the corner screws are more so that the fixture stays flush to the ceiling.
