Lovely podcast. I look forward to doing the yoga practice in the morning. Here in Nebraska where I live, I broke out my fingerless mitts yesterday morning since our temp was 41 Fahrenheit even though later in the day was warm.
Enjoyed your podcast Kim. Loved your new mitts pattern. I tend over here in Scotland to start wearing mitts when the temperature drops to about 12 degrees. I agree with mohair I’m over it . I read Louise Hay years ago & really followed her teaching. The Thorn Birds was a wonderful read & the videos I’ve watched over & over. Im reading Alexander Mc Coll books set in Scotland. Thank you. Now I’m off to do the yoga part. 🏴
Hi Kim lovely to see you back with a podcast. The mittens look so cosy. Over here in Scotland it’s been a wet cold summer but autumn has started sunny & warm😊 I have finished my angers sweater & now knitting a poncho/capelet. Yoga was great 🏴

Good morning Kim! How great to find you here again. My summer has been long and hot with lots of swimming in the sea. The garden has gone to sleep in the heat but it won't be long before the rains come and it all bursts back into life. I loved the mittens! Hugs from Lin in Crete!

I should have written this earlier or comment more often. But thank you for sharing part of your life with us all. My summer so far has been pretty good and mainly been lately trying to keep cool. I’ve been trying to keep up with the garden and thinking of the heat you must be sweating through in Oklahoma, as it’s been a sweltering July here as well. I think I’m American, you’d say temps are in the 90s. That’s crazy!!! And of course, the time I get to garden is the hottest time of day 🙄 I’ll put together a yoga for knitters soon. TTYL, Kim
Good morning, Kim. We've had a great time together and yes - we are a little family! I heard my husband telling a friend 'Lin has friends all over the world that she's never met'. It's true and it's special. My routine is to get up around 4 or 5 am, feed the cats, make tea and then sit in the garden and check if you've posted. If I didn't water the garden the night before, I do it then. We try to swim at the beach most days. I'm sorting out my wool but only have one pair of socks on the needles at the moment. I'm also planning to learn to quilt - a Kawandi quilt. It's a new skill to learn. I'm trying to declutter my cupboards and garden as we have a small house and garden that gets cluttered very quickly. I'm reading books that have been collecting for ages and passing them on. So a big sorting out! Enjoy your summer and speak soon. Hugs from Crete!
Oh wow, it sounds like you’ll have a wonderful summer. Books…. They are a toughie because as soon as you get rid of a book, you find a reason to want to look at it again. My theory is that I only keep books I know for sure I’ll read again, everything else is on my ereader, which takes much less space. Good luck with your summer sorting! Hugs 💗

It took me about 7 years to finally decide on what kind of line and where…. Then our friend made it happen and finally- the clothes line of my dreams! I used to have an umbrella clothesline when I lived in Manitoba (where it rains a lot more.) it was good because when it rained, I would just cover the clothes with a tarp… saved them from getting drenched and eventually everything did dry out.
Oh I remember the frustration of Calgary living (without the current water issues). Architectural controls in some neighborhoods prohibit the use of clothes lines citing that they are unsightly! That used to make me so mad! 😡 priorities people! lol
You can see quite well when you’re up on the ‘lookout,’ lol. It’s a huge contraption but the best design we could come up with. I think it works pretty well. (I’m doing more laundry as I write, just because I want to use it again, haha)

37 years is quite a feat and the fact that you still make each other laugh is the best part!!! Aaron and I found each other late in life so we will be celebrating our fourth anniversary this year but they have been four wonderful years!!! Yes the goslings are super cute and I hope they’re taming up enough to not be jerks later on… we shall see, lol.

Morning Kim! I'm guessing you've got some sort of chest problem. I was given this Greek recipe for anything 'chesty'. 1 teaspoon of dried oregano (not fresh), 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger (chopped). Infuse in 1cup of boiling water. Cover and leave for 10 minutes. Strain and drink. Take twice a day for as long as needed. You can add honey. It really shifts congestion. Hugs from Crete!
Hi Kim, have you ever added the juice of an orange to the rhubarb while cooking it? Enhances the taste nicely. Amazing amount of work that you do in your vegie garden.
I agree it's so hard to lose livestock and I remember crying on our farm with the animals that had died especially the young ones. Your dress is beautiful! <3 And thank you for the lovely yoga nidra! I had to stop my crocheting and do it as well. :)
Someday I hope to live on some land and have some pets! I would love a small white duck and call it Quackers! LOL I wish I lived near you to be treated to some esthetics and to see all your animals! :)

Wow I can’t even imagine a place that doesn’t have rhubarb. It grows in the ditches round here. There’s a backstory about that though. Something about homesteaders needing to prove up by growing a crop. Easiest crop to grow is rhubarb I guess. lol. Hugs right back!

Wow! What a day full of contrasts. The concert looked incredible- all that energy bouncing around. I think it's great that young people (and Mums) still love to go out and do something social and interact with each other. Long live live music! I will be flying home next month and must remember to do legs up the wall at the airport! I didn't know we are allowed to bring knitting needles, crochet hooks on the plane! Did you just put them in a bin at security? I am hoping to take my crafting with me. :) Have a wonderful trip! <3
