I think we can conclude today that the effects of gay marriage have led to a major decline in the nuclear family. Just as he said there at the end, he said that there was already an attack on the marriage institution and to make changes to further transition or open it up would not be a good idea and it is exactly what happened. I have absolutely no problem with gay people... It doesn't matter to me personally. There's many gay people in my family and can't being to explain how it has affected family. However, it does affect society and the nuclear family. If you read about the Roman and Greek empires, they became internally weak. Near the end there was a major rise in obsession with gayness and genderism. And we have to carefully assess the reasons why we wanted to legalize gay marriage. Is it because you would make people happy? If it was just for happiness, then i do not believe that was a good idea. Because relationships are much more than happiness and love. I once had a girl tell me, "Evan I love you, but sometimes love is not enough." So the whole love is love argument is also crazy. Love is not love. Love varies conditionally / unconditionally person to person. So its not all the same. To further my argument, weak men create hard times, hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men. Historically with the romans and the greeks, they were at the weak men stage and were overthrown. Is it a good idea to legalize something that is only on the basis to give people human rights, but the human rights do not have much meaning (i can confidently say that a lot of gayness nowadays is spreading because why not try it and there is no deep meaning other than exploring their sexuality) is this worth it to be overthrown by major enemies like Russia, China, The Middle East? Is it possible for Gay people to see it this way that it is not necessary for them to be married to fullfil their individual rights? Especially since, if overthrown, these countries are not in support of gay marriage to begin with. I encourage someone who is gay to have a conversation. I would really like to hear what they have to say... This is a hard discussion to have with family as there extra emotions

As smart and educated as he may be, Harris is clearly overcorrecting (at least in this conversation) for what he perceives to be "wokeness" overtaking public discourse, and most of the commenters here are exhibiting obvious confirmation bias by portraying this conversation as a "smackdown." Sure, there can be overzealous activists and social justice warriors who find dog whistles where they don't exist, but Carlson and Trump's statements are clearly not examples of that given the surrounding context. To be clear, 8% of Black Virginians and 55% of white Virginians are Republicans, so when Tucker Carlson claims that Latino immigrants are "replacing" Republicans in Virginia, does it really make the _most_ sense to assume he means _all_ Native-Born Virginians? It's not impossible, but it's arguably much less plausible given the actual facts about Virginia Republicans; if the idea is that these immigrants are shifting the state's political climate by "replacing" Republicans, then most of the people they'd be "replacing" in this scenario would be white. As I implied at the beginning, the listener response to Marantz is arguably even worse, with many of you strawmanning him as this woke idpol ideologue who thinks literally everything is racist. He clearly said you shouldn't look for dog whistles everywhere just as you shouldn't assume that there are never any dog whistles. To me, that's a pretty balanced take, but leave it to Harris acolytes to caricature that stance as "EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE IS RACIST."
Peterson stuck around for all of these questions. People and questioners kept speaking over his responses. He was being disrespected, yet reacted with logic and genuinuity and curiosity and enough love and respect for them all to still be standing ready for when they will be ready to listen. Consistently, these people kept telling him that he was things that he wasnt. Basically identifying him lol. These people do not understand how the way he conversed with them- because he wanted to- shows all the respect in the world. Someone can call you by your preferred pronouns and abuse you. Or not really want the best for you. he did not have to spend his time talking to them at all, especially so rationally. He shows all the respect by the way he responds, his demeanor, his actions to clarify he does not think any less of them as people.They are so ignorant to the fact that this whole video exactly shows that he respects them. Taking time out of his day to have this insanely impressive conversation is literally very respectful of him. He could have been mean. to their questions and their vulnerability, too. (Peterson was the " impressive" comment. And so was it for the person with shades and the jacket. The rest of the people were honestly just several stereotypical immature characters: just trying to make a point that they dont really even fully understand) . Insulting this man while grasping for straws to make sense . It's wild.

Actually what happened was that Helen Lewis didn't take his bait and just let him contradict himself so he became irate and flustered. He attacked arguments she never made and kept interrupting her. And of course, there was no shortage of Peterson's strawman of choice, in which he oscillates between philosophy and empiricism hoping nobody will notice. And most people don't.
To state JP "destroys Marxism" is rather far-fetched. Not that I'm defending Marxism, which I'm certainly not. But he (JP) certainly describes where some of the major flaws lie in the Marxist theory. The Bible, if read with an open mind does far more to "destroy" marxism. In fact, an open analysis of ourselves destroys marxist theory.
