Trent Barton have replaced Rainbow one buses forcing passengers to use a phone app for Mango Cards because they have removed their old ticket machines. This will affect Children and vulnerable adults who do not have phones or contactless cards.
They are removing them from all buses soon anyway and kids can use these mango app. Every child has a phone to run the app and vulnerable adults can use contactless bank cards so nothing has really changed and they still offer the saver ticket
Schools in both Derby and Nottingham have banned phones from school and told their students to use Mango cards only. You have mentioned the vulnerable can use contactless cards but these groups have basic bank account that offer cash cards and non contactless debt cards. The contactless card is more expensive compared to Mango. Trent Barton needs to lower the price of contactless cards to Mango discounts to avoid discrimination on certain groups of people. Trent Barton needs to change its ticket plans with the introduction of Derby and Nottingham Day ticket similar to Nottingham Nottingham City Transport or Arriva Derby Day ticket which would be cheaper compared with Zig Zag that covers the whole network. On the integrated ticket Derby City Council under the £150 MILLION public transport fund with Nottinghamshire would include expanding Robin Hood card with Spectrum Derby to develop a new larger integrated ticket system. There are also money for electric buses and hybrid buses to be used across Derby and Nottinghamshire. On your future videos you could look at electric buses, hybrid and buses that use LPG and buses that use cooking oil and sewage for pullpusion.
You’ll find that a lot of vulnerable people have contactless as its easier for them and means they dont have to remember a pin. They shouldn’t offer mango prices with contactless as with them bringing in contactless they’ve spent millions on new machines and theres a handling fee too for the bank transactions. Most of my videos all feature NCT BIOGAS bus or an electric bus. Most companies dont like electric because its double the price of an electric with half the range and requires infrastructure in depots and bus stations which is loads of money it ain’t cheap or easy and most buses on the road even tho they might be old they do upgrade the exhausts so the emissions from brand new bus and 17yr bus releases the same emission levels
Sixes are getting the rainbow one versas and some are going to Sutton as spares and theres another route that could be getting a major upgrade if the rumour is true
@@nottsrailandroad3762 oh I wasn't liaring anyway 😃. But when the Sixes as a Optare Versa are starting this year or October? So the spares are going to be brand new mango buses?(Orange,Yellow and Green or just red) But they should bring them to Mansfield the new and old new Stagecoach deckerate.
This in my opinion was a good thing i find stagecoach fares a lot cheaper plus it makes it more convenient instead of having to buy stagecoach tickets when its stagecoach trentbarton tickets when its trent
@@nottsrailandroad3762 yh apparently the NCT didn't like the Green line beacause they are to short. They should be them as medium electric buses but the f309 and 399 are ok.
