I am just a Gal with a small Texas Ranch. I share videos of my animals and 1940’s farm house renovations along with other random events. I don’t plan my videos in advance. I don’t edit them. I don’t show myself. It’s just simple and honest. I hope you enjoy!

Notwithstanding Andrei's attempt at humor, the place is looking great - nice work. Looks like you need some rain as bad as we do - although I do see some green out there.
We have gotten some rain but, we need more. I still have my cows off at another property. I just moved them 2 days ago to a place that has good grass. Rosie has not been doing well ever since she had her calf earlier this year and just kept losing weight. Now she is also limping. I am going over there in a bit to give her a shot of bute and am planning to have the farrier work on her feet.
In the past I’ve done extra special stuff for her but, money is very short this year. She got the most important gift …. Giant hugs and kisses from Mama (that’s me).
Oh Wow, at first I thought this was going to be another excruciating J. Davis plants video(!). They are pushing the fence out because it's going to be a remake of the famous Steve McQueen movie "The Great Escape"! And I'm not sure if "Emus in Texas" will be a comedy OR a horror film... 🥰
lol. Thank you for brightening my morning. Hope all is well with you. I know I haven’t been posting much here. It’s hard to keep up with this and fb both. I’m going to try to catch up a little in the next few days.
Ummm..."Little Red" doesn't look that little... And how 'bout you walk over to him!?!! ANOTHER THING: How 'bout Landscape instead of Portrait cell phone orientation, so we can see MORE!?!! 🥰
I adore my emus as well If I go outside my male 5 months old runs over immediately for cuddles My young girl 2.5 months isn’t as fast to come but once I get her she enjoys snuggling as well
They are precious at that age. Last season was my first to incubate and hatch and I have to say it was one of the most rewarding things I’ve done in my entire life. It’s very hard work. Heart wrenching at times but, I received such love from those little chicks and met such amazing people through them. I just subscribed to your channel 😁
The oriental goose (Cygnopsis cygnoides domesticus) is a domestic subspecies of the swan goose (Cygnopsis cygnoides) while the occidental goose (Anser anser domesticus) is a domestic subspecies of the greylag goose (Anser anser).
My darn cows sure do love sneaking the emu food. But, there’s not any of that where they are right now. I’ve been taking feed to them at least once a week. It seems they still like me even though I sent them off to “band camp”. I’ll explain that when we talk next on the phone. lol
She is for sure a cutie pie and a princess. I was considering Cupcake since I have Bicuit, Butters, Jelly and Jam. Maybe she can be Princess Cupcake. Thank you so much for always following along and commenting. It brightens my day and there are some really hard days around here. It means a lot.
That would be a mob of emu lol They are all being kept at my friends house. I am keeping 2 whites once dna comes back (we had to retest 2 of the whites). A friend bought the adult pair. The other whites were already spoken for. We sold one blonde. So, there are 6 blondes left looking for new homes.
omg there cute lil baby whistles are so cute <3 I am always so surprised and find it so interesting when I see people keep these in the US they are such cool animals here in Australia
They are amazing animals and I don’t want to ever live my life without them again. They make every day better for me and the other animals on this little ranch. Thanks so much for watching.
lol it’s just like kids and mud puddles I guess. I saw your video about the chickens and the raccoon. I’m so sorry that happened. I am loving watching the emu chicks grow and am curious about the girls names.
Well, there was a nice breeze for their ride at least. It was also mostly overcast and we got a couple sprinkles but nothing significant. I also worked very hard to get all 13 in the trailer. The 11 chicks had to be carrier by hand quite a ways to get them in the trailer. I will be bringing home a couple of them soon from where they are staying at a friends so stay tuned 😀
This was a house that was my parents. I inherited it when after my dad passed away. It was a rental house they owned. The foundation failed the month my Dad passed away. The attic had several rafter break and had been leaking for quite some time. It was more than I could afford to spend to fix it and recover in a reasonable amount of time from rental income.
The geese have a large enclosure. I’ve actually been redoing the whole thing to be much better for them. They aren’t safe from predators outside of the enclosure. I do however let them out some when I’m able to stay with them. They usually don’t want to stay out long though and go back into their area on their own.
