You're right, this is him expressing all the deep, dark, from his "groin" stuff that lingered after Indigo - that was still weighing on him. Personally, besides Lost which took a couple listens, the whole album is music I really vibe with...I love. It's very conceptual and is best enjoyed start to finish in order to get where he was going. I loved how honest it was, and how sonically, the feels he's had, the disjointed, frantic, unsettled, lost feelings were so well communicated that all ends with Come Back to Me in a absolute resolved way. As a relatively new fan, from just '23 I loved Indigo, Mono took a bit for me, but RPWP is gold!
For me Domodachi was a love at 1st listen - but this indie/experimental/neo jazz sound is music that I'm already drawn to. Think the lyrics are just about people making demands on him, expectations, maybe even "fake" friends - the chaos of the industry, the frantic nature of the biz - and how he's not vibing with that way of creating anymore, but how it can be part of it too, so find those spaces of safety or connection that can make it "okay".
With Groin - think he was just saying what had to be said, exactly how he wanted to say it. Just about the haters, those who willfully misunderstand, the gov and those who think he needs to represent and maybe even people trying to free load. If you walk like a duck, and talked like a duck...if it smells like shit...that vibe. Get out the trunk...like you're not even in my ride, stop trying to ride with me when I haven't even offered you a seat.
16:25 you can tell these are live vocals over the instrumental. Yes, it’s a live version and he’s chillin in the studio space. It would have sounded too wonky in that space if they blasted the instrumental through speakers instead and he’d have to stay in one spot. He’s vibing and performing over what’s playing in his earphones. His voice is fantastic. So I’d understand if people who aren’t familiar with BTS members’ voices in practices, acapella, and during choreography would mistake it for a lip sync. Just him, the track, and a mic. Less is more and I like it. His whole album is my favorite, front to back with zero skips. I empathize and relate to a lot of nuances he touched on. And I am crazy about the fusion of so many different sounds coming together. All Around the World in a Day felt like a warm bath
Love your reaction, thank you so much ❤ RM the most talented rapper, composer, songwriter, producer and human being ,every song he does has a different story and different emotions!!
Great reaction! You heard and called out all the new nuances with his new record- musically, lyrically, vocally as well as the life experience behind it. Beautiful!!
I like that BTS try lots of genres as a group and soloist and dont limit and put themselves in a box. They are not afraid to try different things and I have a lot of respect for that. A lot of artist or idols and groups all over the world never change their sound which is not bad but also prevents them to show any personal growth which could be detrimental. For BTS to have creative feeedom in their music is obviously the most important point but it shows that BTS themselves have enough knowledge in music to make those decisions and have trust from their label and shareholders to make the music they want. This album is definitely not for everyone. Its very much on the indi alternative side which is not really my vibe usually BUT I ended up actually LOVING this album wayyy more than Mono and Indigo. Learned something new about myself. 😅 thank you for your reaction and honest opinion! Sorry for my english as its not my primary language. 💜
Well said , was the same for me especially in begin feel completely lost with lost but after listen few time the whole album is became my favourite album of all time ..completely obsess with it ..thank you 💜
Just one addition! HYBE is the one that has publicly acquirable shares. BTS’s label Big Hit Music might be under them but it‘s independent from HYBE‘s shareholder decisions. ^^
I actually enjoyed it. I think they portrayed Zuko perfectionly. I thought Aang was great except for his obvious fake crying. But he's a child actor, so i will give him grace. Sokka was funny and captured his character pretty well. Katara was a weak link, though, in the group. Besides her bending, her acting was just boring and unconvincing. But she is also a child actor so 🤷🏾♀️. The fight scenes were awesome, and I can tell they put a lot of work into them. The one thing in the show i hated though were the sets. They just looked so fake. It was distracting and would have been better if they actually went outside. I give the show a 75%.
Loved your reaction to What I Am♥️ Zayn just released another single from his upcoming album, could you please react to it too? The new single is Alienated 👽🛸
I think sometimes the big shows don't really have the best equipment for live cause most of the other idols are using pre-recorded tracks. I've seen artists give a perfect live but the streaming version messes things up for them.
They should have stuck to the original material period. Showing the massacre of air nomads right in the first few minutes of the first episode just steals the sorrow we experience later when aang visits the temple and he sees what happened to gyatso. Anyways they just wanted to milk the franchise
Zayn needs to do live shows because nothing beats a live performance. I’m sure after all these years of therapy for his anxiety he should be in a place where preforming on stage for all his fans who have continued to support him is not too much to ask. His new music is amazing and would be great to see live
“Bridge Over Troubled Water” was written by Paul Simon in 1969 and recorded in 1970 with Art Garfunkel. “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” which is one of the most enduring songs from the past four decades, won the GRAMMY Award for Record of the Year and Song of the Year in 1971. Special mention to Aretha Franklin for tearing this song up live on piano - Franklin debuted her version on March 5, 1971, during her landmark three night stint at San Francisco's Fillmore West, which was later released as Aretha Live at Fillmore West. The first DAW to be created is attributed to Soundstream, with their Digital Editing System, created in 1977. It wasn’t until 1989 that Digidesign release Sound Tools, the predecessor and base for the industry standard ProTools. Cubase released the VST format in 1996 which was a huge leap forward for the DAW world, allowing cross talk between different software. In 1981, Dave Smith of Sequential Circuits, presented a paper on the “Universal Synthesizer Interface.” Just two years later, in 1983, at the winter NAMM Show*, a Sequential Circuits Prophet-600 was able to talk to a Roland Keyboard over a 5-pin cable. And this partial history is how the world receives a Jacob Collier, and a Yebba, with a John Legend and a Tori Kelly collaboration on a Bridge Over Troubled Water. Peace be unto all Healing be unto all Freedom above all else be upon all R.I.P Aretha Franklin, Dave Smith and all we have lost to troubled waters everywhere.
Bluesy was my first thought too. Almost in a Chris Stapleton kind of way. Zayn is gonna always "do Zayn" that's for sure. The album will be interesting. Great job with this review.
Thank for your reaction…I love Zayn he does have heart when writing his songs can’t wait for his album comes out. I have been anticipating his new album for the last year it’s going to be a great album. Love you Zayn!!!
I listen to a lot of people doing reactions and they do play the entire song and they respect the artist by doing so, and its makes for a credible reaction. I just hope you don't do this with every artist.@@ReenieTV
Obviously you don’t follow MY channel. You would see I usually play entire videos. But there are some videos I’m willing to take a copyright hit on and some I am not. Obviously this is one in which I am not inclined to do so. If you don’t like the content here you can just keep scrolling and find a creator who has the whole thing. Better yet, watch the original post on his channel like I said. Thanks for stopping by!
