I can not believe the game is 10 years old now. I played it when it first came out while I was working nights at a closed hospital in the UK. That was spooky enough, I was a lone worker manning the phones as the place was being shut down during the day. Call after call "Sorry, we are closed". So I took my Gaming Laptop in and for 8 hours a night I played games. Alien Isolation was terrifying lol. I really put myself through a waking nightmare. I had no idea this DLC existed until just now. Thanks. I must have it. But may not if your playthrough is 100%. I did try playing the main game again when I retired, but I shat myself and turned it off. Too many bad memories, I think it gave me PTSD 🤪🤣
Well I am bloody stupid, I just checked my Steam Library and I have all the DLC, only played the main game. What a chicken, so much so, I forgot I had them all. Got to laugh.
I always thought they should make the sequel take place on one of the colony worlds like Hadleys Hope on LV-426 or Ryushi from the Dark Horse AVP comics. Getting bum rushed by an Alien Queen might give you a heart attack though.
This was on my older configuration and not the current configuration of which you'll notice much better frame rates. Check out the most recently added videos and you'll see a big difference. For example: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RQm4DAc6Vag.htmlsi=ttX1f1SjmbTZzSK2
I am actually in the process of capturing some new gameplay with this game since I have recently upgraded my main gaming rig to beastly proportions! :D I can now play all of my games in 4k, at or above 60fps, and the capturing is a LOT smoother, so that will all show in the new videos I will be uploading soon!
@@Tenshihan-Quinn actually, it's the same 15 year old Dell T7500 tower, but not I've maxed the RAM (96gb) and doubled the processors so now it has two 12-core Xeon CPUs for an effective 24 cores. Graphics card was a Quadro 5000 but upgraded that to a RTX 2060 KO Ultra. So now I'm playing current games @ 4k/60fps :D
Imagine what it might have done to your body after the black screen and your death... after you made it so extremely pissed... 😅 My guess,... your body is in dozens of pieces.
I haven't played it since I recently upgraded my gaming tower, so I will definitely have to make some more videos using my updated rig! The detail and performance with the new setup is astounding! Think 4k in 60fps or faster.
Brilliant. My 2003 S60 DIM just quit. In the time I watched your video, I could have been replacing my unit if I had done what you did and pre-purchased from XeMODex. Thanks for the sound and straightforward instruction. I can't get over how easy you made it.
XeMODex (and Volvo) made it that easy. You basically plug it in and go! It helps that getting to the gauges is very easy (basically 4-5 screws) and unplugging it.
hate it when it does that... It gets stuck in that mode rarely but it freaks me out. You'll see a door open (with a table in the way) and wonder why it opened... You find out the HARD way... when you and it collide coming around the table. It also has another very very rare mode. I've yet to get on video. 2x it used the "Tip toe" sneak up on me mode... It clearly saw me on the terminal ... made NO sound.. and tip toed up behind me very quietly Turned in time to see it "sneaking" and it is very creepy looking.
Wow, finally someone other than me still playing this game today…I am NOT alone! 😄Since months I am battling myself through the whole survivor maps, made it even through the endurance mode. Last week I installed two mods: „improved alien“ and „aggressive alien“. Dude, the latter one is what it says: it was sort of a game changer. Looking more under tables, into lockers and chasing through vents with heightened senses…. Wearing my brown pants. 🤭 But believe me, the survivor maps are becoming more interesting the more you know your way around them. Trying different strategies, other, alternate routes, restricting yourself from using flames, hiding in lockers or using trackers…. It is pure fun (in a twisted way..) 😂
I never hide in lockers but I do use the tracker often, and strategically. By "strategically" I mean that I used it sparingly and not when the Xeno is close-by because it can hear the beeping and it will find you. I think this game is probably my all-time favorite, but it is closely chased by the Dead Space franchise. Stay tuned, I will be posting some Dead Space videos as well!
When I first started playing this game, I still had my gaming rig connected to my HD projector down in my basement (dungeon) home theater. So I was playing it on an 8-foot wide HD movie screen, audio booming through a 900-watt 5.1 surround system with the subwoofer right behind the reclining sofa that was positioned about 6 feet front-and-center to the screen, so I was fully immersed. And in the basement, when I turn off all of the lights, it is complete and total darkness. I would literally jump out of my skin every time the alien showed itself, or whenever there was a loud jump-scare.
I have yet to play any from the Outlast series. I will need to check those out soon, and upload it here. Subscribe and you will see when I upload more. ;) Thx bro!
Friend, you are not alone. This game is one of my most terrifying video games of all time topping The Evil Within and Outlast and maybe Little Nightmares (don’t really consider Little Nightmares scary)
Same here. This is the first game where I literally thought I was going to have a heart attack when I first started playing it. I still jump when the Xeno gets me.
Yeah, you can't hide under those desks, only in between them, so if the alien walks by while you're crouched there it's sure to see you. So the only option is to keep moving. :D
I wasn't playing yet I still jumped out of my skin at the end 😂 I have made it through the game twice. On my third go, I bottled out, I am not kidding. All I can about manage now is watching others play 😆 I still shit myself though 😫
I was like that as well when I first started playing it. I would jump and back out. I have a game modding program that can change certain settings and one of them is to set the alien to have zero behavior, whereas it never goes after you, which is good if you just want to explore the space station for the aesthetics.
I know, right? I have played this game a LOT, and have NEVER seen it crawl like that unless it was in a vent. I am assuming it was a glitch, but a pretty creepy one at that.
