Nice job censoring the profanity. I rewatched the Helldivers/Max Payne short and almost failed to notice the censoring there too. Good edits. And you called the game, "interesting"... That was your crime.
I love how the intro is set before the fall of rapture. They squeaky clean hallways in contrast with the the big daddy being s dirty and brown, almost like some sort of underwater grunt meant to do the bidding of the high class. I also think the shot of the player walking through the hallway looking at your reflection reallt sets the tone that your a brute that is uncompromising. Excpet for the protection of your daughter.
Just Finished the first one harvested every little sister I came across, then felt like and ass hole during this intro, got to the first little sister in the second and I had to really think about the save or harvest option but im commited to the dark side harvesting away 😂
I don't remember if I learned this from the Bioshock wiki, but I've beaten this game many times and I've never noticed that the guy has like needle markings on his arm. 2:09 Also imagine if we ever got a remake where we see splicers actually using plasmids like electro-bolt or hypnotize. Hmm... now I kind of want a remake for 1 and 2 now.
Replaying this as a fully grown adult in my mid twenties and the big daddy/little sister dynamic in this one hits more. Not a parent per say, but my girlfriend and I were raising her nephew for a while (he's four years old, good kid.) And I dunno, too hard to explain man. Bioshock 2: Cool Dad Simulator.
Sadly, no. Normal difficulty. The only thing the difficulty options do anyway is make the enemies more spongy. That's it. The AI is the same across all difficulties.
I play though these games at least once a year, timeless masterpieces. Idk why everyone knocks on Bioshock 2, all Bioshock games are special in their own way. I would say my favorite is a Toss up between Bioshock 2 and Infinite. Both hit me pretty hard, and infinites Burial at Sea dlcs were perfect endings to the series in my opinion. Don't get me wrong I love Bioshock 1, but 2 and Infinite somehow felt better. When I played 1 back in the day it blew my mind with the story. Bioshock series as a whole is top 5 game series for me. Sucks they won't make another
You're not a very good parent if you're nonchalantly ordering someone to commit suicide in front of your own daughter. Especially if that person is someone she genuinely cares about, and said suicide is rather gruesome.
I find it amazing people still comment and critique the realism of obscure video game scenes from over a decade ago. Regardless, I think we can reason that maybe the Adam he has coursing through his veins might have been responsible for him staying alive. It does make you superhuman.
Eleanor, who is the little sister, when she was older managed to Jerry-rig a vita-chamber to revive delta that’s why delta is in water at the beginning of the game he was momentarily knocked out by being back to life. Source: I just have got done with my second play through.
1:35 The part where Delta comes to defend Eleanor is just so satisfying to me, and really shows the raw fury and savagery of an enraged Big Daddy. You touch their Little Sister, you die-no questions asked.
1:49 “No, no! It came in under the door! It’s leeching off all my skin! AHHHHHHHH!-“ (click) “Thanks Greg there from one of our safety videos. Grizzly stuff. Very informative.” Me: My favorite line.
something i noticed about this intro that i never noticed on my precious playthroughs is that delta almost exclusively keeps his eyes on eleanor despite being hypnotized. it’s like his love for her is able to break through the plasmid and keep him at least focused on what he loves before he dies instead of looking into the eyes of his killer.
