Experience the Stories, History and Memorabilia of Recorded Music at the Musicians Hall of Fame Home of the Interactive & Fun GRAMMY Museum Gallery in Nashville, Tennessee
The Musicians Hall of Fame is a premiere Nashville attraction and the one and only museum in the world that honors the talented musicians who actually played on the greatest recordings of all time. Some like Jimi Hendrix are well known, while others like L.A session drummer Hal Blaine are not as well known to the public, but have played on hundreds of hit records from Elvis, Frank and Nancy Sinatra,The Byrds, The Mamas and The Papas and The Beach Boys, just to name a very few. The Musicians Hall Of Fame And Museum has on exhibit the very instruments that these musicians used to record many of these classic hits.
The Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum is open in the heart of downtown Nashville, TN.
Surreal to watch this. Donnie Johnson was a lifetime friend, and awhile after Terry's death we were a couple for a few years. Witnessing Terry's death did a number on him - psychiatry and rehab like a revolving door. Donnie died at the age of 49 in Feb 03 from a combo of undiagnosed heart defect and heroin. I've met the band many times, other friends are still in touch with them. It's just surreal to hear Danny talk about it on YT after all these years.
Fmmaj9, couldn’t have put a truer statement, my dad, Joe, definitely was an encyclopedia of music & he loved it! I know he would really appreciate your kind comments, thank you for the continued support for the channel. Hope you can visit the museum sometime. All the best, Britt
I'm not a fan of Neil Young's political stances, but this interview has given me a ton more respect for him, because of his willingness to give credit to all of the people behind the scenes of his records and not take all of the credit for himself.
James loves to tell their story. Cant help to see in many ways it reminds me of Kool & The Gang's beginnings. They were also a horn section focused band, only trying music from a different angle. It also makes me think of EWF, also a famous band with a legendary horn section as well.
User-nu7kk, I agree… thank you for continuing to support the channel. Your kind words would have meant a lot to my dad, Joe. Hope you can visit the museum sometime. All the best, Britt
All respects to Vince hes one of my favorites though I'm not much for country but sure love his tunes. Hes so humble and truthful his stories are great the one and only so talented.
in the 60's when I was stationed in Germany we could always tell if the drummer of a band was American or European, at that time only American drummers could to the syncopation properly,
What can anyone say CHICAGO set the bar very high for the future of music of that era. I can’t think of one band that has come close to being as good as Chicago to this day.
Good drummer. But a self proclaimed left wing liberal. Bob burns is the drummer of Lynnrd skynyrd. Artimus was a substitute. He did not fit in . As far as I'm concerned.
Vince Gill is one of my favorite people in this world, like Willie Nelson, two of the most wise and humble people that ever graced the earth!! Vince and Willie are both like my lost Dad, (grew up without a father) but their music and humility taught me so much about what life is really all about, family, country and patriotism. But most of all treat folks the way you want to be treated regardless of race or religion or any of the things people use for excuses! That's what I heard Willie say in an interview once and it stuck with me forever ( as it should)! 😉😇😇 Love watching Vince tell stories about his past experiences in life... makes you realize when you sing from your heart and not your brain the songs always hit harder over the airwaves!! 😉😇 Quote from Vince in an interview! BOTH Living Legend's!!
The guys from back then are pros these dudes just went around plugging in and playing anywhere with anyone. Not many musicians do it like that now I mean there’s no where near as many clubs to play as there used to be. Joe does his thing and he keeps it going I respect him I never been to see one of his shows so I’m not a die hard fan or anything but from where I’m standing he gets his role and he keeps the old school ways going fair play to him 👍
When I am having a bad day, all I need to do is go and watch one of Joe's interviews. He was a master at it, his genuine nature, he asked a few questions and let the person just get lost in there own story. Thanks Joe, You did it again, I miss you, Thank goodness we have this channel to still learn from you.
Joel, thank you for such sweet words, it always means a lot to me to read comments like yours. I know, my dad, Joe, would truly appreciate all that you said & especially for your continued support for the channel. I hope if you haven’t yet, that you can visit the museum sometime, I know you would love it. All the best, Britt
