Welcome to my channel Here you will find videos of railways and various other old vehicles Find me on Instagram for steam related and engineering posts: stevesvr
Saw it in Settle a few month ago. Also - no barrier on the crossing? A bit risky considering people sometimes dash across when barriers are there are down.
There is a half barrier both sides of the crossing only on the direction of travel side. If trains are passing at the speed of this one then it should really be a full barrier crossing.
I spent many of my younger years driving a tev20, they were one of the finest small tractors ever built, very maneuvreable and very reliable. No wonder so many still exist today.
A bit of both. The track in this video I brought, I then cut all the welds on the one side and re welded it to suit what I wanted. It’s 1” steel bar welded to stretchers
Thank you incredible ❤ Never ever thought I'd see this !!! My uncle played a major role in the 70s n 80s restoring RUSSELL I stood on the foot plate many times I have a picture of my uncle stood on RUSSELL pre paint 1st ever steam test I
In the beginning why didn't you back up the cart and dump the material right where you need it instead of wasting all that time and energy with all that running back and forth ?
For a number of reasons, I needed it out the way at the start to measure and mark out for the track. I then took it to the shed so the tractor on the front of it was in the shed as it was raining. Also dumping the soil into the floor would have made a mess and made more work to fill the wheel barrow to get to where I wanted it.
nice machines, I have a tef, the tvo tractor in the video seems to have a spark problem? cracked distributor, points issue or something? the loader is very nice on them!
Thanks The problem in this video was an unusual mixture of fuel I got free off a mate… on petrol or TVO it runs perfectly. Yeah the loader is a brilliant thing and has a lot of power for the size of the tractor. Just not quite as easy to use as a modern loader but for its time it must have been and still is really, amazing.
Sorry to go on but the loader tractor needs looking at before you cause damage its not firing right ??? I know I know another bloody know it all but just trying to help !!
Nice up load but not wishing to sound rude that tractor is not running as it should or its the sound system either way good fun to watch !! sorry sounds better when on the trailer !!!!!!!!
You are 100% right there it was running pretty awfully and would only run at high revs. A garage I go to occasionally gives me some free fuel when they have had to pump a tank out after the wrong fuel has been put it. This stuff has a little bit more diesel in it than I thought. I added more clean petrol after and it was fine. I’m sure some experts may get upset about using fuel with diesel in but its not done any damage over the last few years 🙂.
@@SteveLlewellynbgr Well being a 100% know it all and i do know everything trust me i do NOT !!!!!!!!!!! I get where you are coming from but i would not do that to the old girl she is like me old and i struggle on anything but yorkshire tea if i drink anything else i run on 3 not 4 if you get my drift so just give her good fuel please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@allanhughes7859 👍 know what you are saying. I am currently running on a proper TVO mix as we now have a kerosene heating tank that’s easy to get some out of. 🙂. If I get offered some free fuel again I’m not sure what my answer would be but need to come up with something more scientific than the smell test to check what’s mixture it is! 😂
@@SteveLlewellynbgr well done look after her because she will look after you thats for sure as mine has done for me sorry just had to wipe a tear away get very emotional these days L.O.L.....
@@allanhughes7859 They are amazing machines aren’t they! Had the TVO one now 8 years and has never properly let me down. Even doing 80+ mile runs to shows and lots of work at home and for others.
