Do you think that compact could dig a frost protected shallow foundation? I need to level maybe a foot, and then dig a bucket wide trench 3' deep around 48x60 perimeter.. Or what size tractor?
Great idea! I was looking for DIY plans for a honey warmer, but I didn't want something like an old fridge that would take up a lot of space when not in use. I already had a heating element from an old egg incubator, a temp controller, and fan salvaged from an old computer, and plenty of empty bee boxes. Since the supers were old and a little warped, I used blue painter's tape to seal up the cracks between the boxes. Thanks for posting this video.
Lol...no waste? Well, how about a no waste, instant manure and urine spreader? You could take that same animal, move them on pasture daily, and never have to clean/remove manure or urine if they aren't on wormers that also kill dung beetles and earth worms. They also would have fresh pasture daily, and it would reduce feed costs, and if you can keep the cycles over 30-60 days, you can keep them from needing wormer as you break the parasite cycle. Who cares if they use a bit extra hay when you don't have to buy as much hay or feed because you have more grass and less to spend on wormer or less time spent on manure.
Great idea. I could not possibly leave it in the ground. However I will lift the PTO shaft up and suspend it with a length of small chain, so it’s not in the grass. Thanks for the great idea.
We get so many of these because we farm . I like the ones with these metal bottoms . Some of the ones we get have a wooden pallet bottom. I have used these for years for feeders AND for the garden! They make great tomato cages! You can cut them to makes the cages , but all I do is plant on the four corners with tomatoes with a line across . There are so many ways to use them in the garden , as a trellis too .
I'm actually not sure they can support liquid without the cage to reinforce them. I actually cut it in half and used one side as a brooder for baby chicks.
Very nice. I was thinking of a box blade, a ripper, a rototiller, to break up the soil before trying to move it. But you are showing me something else.
dude, you are new to farm life......To store a post hole digger, dig a hole in the ground, then disconnect attachments. Leave it the ground. No one can steal it, digger stays put. You can use the same place to store as many times as you like.
Temperature seems to be the most important key to make this successful. If it's too cold or the sun's not out enough to warm up fume board, it's not as effective.
Friend, good night, greetings from Ecuador, a question. I bought myself a similar tank but it is from a very strong chemical. I would like to know how I make all that poison come out.
Throw the tank ( bladder ) away to be recycled . The metal is what you want . Depending what chemical was in it mite be washed ( metal ) . Just a thought .
That's a simple but effective way to store those augers .I have tried a lot of different ways and always wanted something a little better . Thanks for the idea .I'm definitely going to be building one
