I'm a sneakerhead. I shoot and edit videos with my friend Naz.
I create videos of performance reviews/general reviews of the latest basketball footwear/streetwear available in Malaysia. Not affiliated with any brands or companies.
Blind was a huge brand back in the early 2000s here in Malaysia, because the distributors bringing in skateboard decks were not as abundant as it is today. Blind decks have always been the middle ground (or "mellow" as people would put it nowadays) between Powell and Baker decks back then.
I’m tryna bring back just like a lot of other the Y2K look . Baggy pants , skats shoes , eye brow piercings , lip piecings , tattoos. I swear i got a vision of it lol
Thank you for breaking this down! I love the fat skate shoes style but it's difficult to find ones that tick all the boxes. You say 'nubuck or synthetic'. Does it specify whether it's leather or synthetic on the materials label?
some of the pairs that arrived here in Malaysia had the shoe's make up sticker and has the textile logo indicating the upper. Also I looked at the grain in beneath the top of the material (usually near the stitch lines and near the lace loops) and there seems to be no leather grain
@@tjgotkicks89 yes they are basically brand new box, still has the new smell to it... i was able to snag it off some french shop back in 2012, from ebay; i can post a video later if u want
pretty much still the same except for some minor scratches on the 3m side panel/lace loops. Toe cap has lost a bit of the ridges. Otherwise still looks like they're still wearable around
@@tjgotkicks89 nice, I noticed it your are grey in the midsole ( foam part) does the paint look the same there ? Mi are white from that are but after like the first 5 weeks it started to yellow out, I bought white acrylic paint to touch it up every now and then
@@K_spawn pretty much the same for now because the grip hasn't done much damage to it yet. sorry to hear about your experience with having to touch them up every now and then
@@tjgotkicks89 I don mind lol plus I got mine through Zumiez, and I just got another 2 pairs but from CCS , there might be a quality difference, like etnies from the web site and etnies from Walmart, big 5, etc
yes they are, i'm a normal to medium width foot shape and these fit me comfortably length and width. Do try them on in-store first for the best idea on how they fit.
thanks for your comment, board sizes really is up to personal preference, i prefer a 7.8 - 8.0 because I never really tried wider decks. I'm a 8 1/2 shoe size and use a 8.0 no problem with flip tricks. best advice is go to a store and try standing on the board to see if you like the feel of it under foot. hope that helps!
If I wear a size 9 and all thats available is a 8.5 or 9.5 for half price, what size would you recommend going with? Im wearing them mainly for style purposes...
i think half a size up if you're going to use these just for walking around would be okay, though you may have to lace them up a bit more than you would with your true size. at half price off, these are way worth it
dude yes the kevin taylors were a sick shoe, just sad to know that Axion's about to go under again since the future of the company's kinda shadowy. They had a good run with the retros and the new silhouettes that they pumped out though
definitely man, different strokes for different folks but because I grew up in an era where you didnt need to keep replacing skate shoes after two weeks but they lasted for the entire school year or two. skate shoes also didnt look the same as the next model and there were different looks that you could get from different shoes. no punches thrown at vulc based shoe brands which have held their own throughout the years but im glad that skate shoes now have a variety in tech and visual aesthetics
@@tjgotkicks89 i got some etnies screw mid vulcs kinda recently and liked them a lot more than i thought i would. they're basically an etnies halfcab. but the og suede cupsoles looked way sicker, never had them though.
these would definitely last long, the amount of rubber in it would guarantee protection. to compare this shoe to a standard vans shoe is kinda a long shot but to answer your question they have way more protection, way more bulk, way more rubber than a vans old skool, sk8 hi, era etc.
just copped this in grey colorway from shopee for like 112MYR , will finally replace my Crocs after like 3 years lol! also if you squint hard enough they look exactly like YEEZY foamrunners.
Hahah yesss almost bought those but had to use something else with ma money(hint hint belum tengah bulan pokai already) They definitely drew inspiration from Ye’s design except for the removable/replacable footbed. Hope you enjoy your pair!!
these were the original runs of the adimatic retros, the closest thing you can find to this now is the one with the semi traslucent smoke grey outsole. Upper, 3 stripes and laces of the shoes are exactly like this. link to picture from google: www.skatedeluxe.com/en/adidas-originals-adimatic-shoes-core-black-crystal-white-carbon_p167253
its holding up great, except for the part that i melted away when I was microwaving them lol. bottoms are holding up great and still have lots of tread
agreed, me being smart tried to microwave these ala-breaking skate shoes in and ended up semi melting the plastic parts haha. Should've thought of the heat gun method.
@@juancruz-jg5pq to me, i think they run TTS, I dont feel my toes on the edge that closely but they do fit more like a US9 Muska rather than a US9.5 muska. Can check out the Muska shoe reviews on my channel too!
broooooo that would be a dream man, I don't think the iPath brand will release in skatehops in Malaysia for now based on what I hear, but would love to have some iPaths reviewed for my channel!
@@suchaverage6430 fire!!!! will definitely have a look out for your video, and looking to see how they compare to the early versions back in 2002-2004. Hope they keep the classic logo outsole
