MODERN TAHTIB video channel concerns the most recent update of the millennium Egyptian Battle Staff. It includes videos about the events, the story, jousting and combat, the practice, the codified series, etc.
Initially used in Ancient Egypt for about thirty centuries, as one of the Egyptian army martial discipline, the Egyptian Battle Staff has been described in details since the Vth dynasty (-2600 B.C.). It has then been developing during the recent twenty centuries in the Upper Egypt villages all along the Nile River as martial and festive game, called “Tahtib, stick game”. Now an update of this ancient practice is building up ad an educational martial sport.
