@@M.A.S.-SuperiorService- The messy workshop reflect your working style. The way you pile the engine cover and other parts on top of the engine. To remove the aluminum pipe clamp, based on the shape of that pipe and simple common sense, you should have hoist the car up, remove the undercover, loosen the clamp and pull from under, instead, you used a crowbar and brute force from the top which would have easily damage other part of the engine. You did not torque the bolts to OEM specified spec...
what way u code the immo u do the ic swap and transfer the ic from ur wrx ecu to ur sti or u re code ur keys to the usdm sti ecu to ur wrx also ur abs codes are due to biu coding it can be corrected ecu is looking for a dccd controller and the abs module on sti is coded im messing with this trying to wire 11 wrx with a 255 moded to 07 sti motor with 6 speed trans and sti cluster and dccd controller id love to talk if possible and swap notes u got discord
@@M.A.S.-SuperiorService- why not just do immo programing mode this keeps it all clean plus tatrix cable can do it also the security id is stored in the biu so u can read the biu eeprom and use the code to program the car or if u get a sti biu u can change the security id number in the biu eeprom to match ur vin lookup security id code then to get si drive u swap abs pump and sti cluster this will make it a full sti and get rid of some codes for vdc u can also wire in the dccd controller to
Very informative and clear video, thank you. I am about to remove the lower and oil pans of my 2008 ML350 W164 without taking the ngine out, just hoisting the engine but concerned about braking anything, how to disconenct the engine from the trany, do I just remove the engine mounts bolts, the torque covertor bolts and then the trany to engine bolts or is there something else? Thank you.
@@M.A.S.-SuperiorService- I appologize, I meant to write " I am about to remove the UPPER oil pan ". To clarify, I was replacing the Cam Adjuster when the chain jumped and I had to take the timing cover off to time the chain. I have to take both oil pans out to put the cover back on. I did take out the lower pan but to remove the UPPER pan it looks like I need to lift the engine, My question is: To lift the engine, is it just removing the engine mount bolts, Torque convertor bolts, and unbutton the engine from the trans or is there something else to it. Thank you for your time.
Im located in palm beach area. Im capable to do this process with proper walk through. I found an 08 sti computer ,dash cluster, immobilizer and ignition w key. I Already have either a japanese or sti motor harness because exhaust and intake a v c s are plugged in. My car runs and drives .I wouldn't mind learning. But you have experience. How much to bring my 08 wrx to you to get this done?
no there is not, believe it or not despite holding boost they do NOT take much torque at all to seal correctly. just turn by hand until you feel resitance, also make sure theyre pushed in above pipe lip and it will all be good
This was very helpful. Thanks for posting the torque specs for the covers. Do you know if there is a torque spec on the band clamps that hold the turbo inlet and output tubes?
Great video however you gotta wonder how old are the accumulators, now that you've restored the high pressure to all the lines the next weakest point in the system will be next to rupture. If the accumulator are old they should be replaced. The old filter should also be replaced
Great work, I can Tell it wasnt your first go round on a rogue. I watched the first half of your video to get me started. I had it from there on, but now i watched the whole thing and i see where i could have made things alot simpler for myself than the way I did it.
What did the clicking sound like? Was it a constant clicking? Was it more of a THUD when accelerating? Was it clicking under acceleration and deceleration?
You should set your camera down on a stand when making video's you give the viewer's a headache and make them dizzy with the camera or phone moving so much wow thanks. We can't learn from you if we're dizzy from watching
if youre using sti ecu just used that wiring info and make it on your harness, if youre trying to replicate for jdm ecu (i suggest you dont) I now use asutralian wiring diagrams. The link is to my drive, second pdf page 102 ish beginning of wiring say RHD Turbo drive.google.com/drive/folders/1bPFGMa3vccgXf2ShS-a9KNmVsEl1JPh6?usp=sharing
Thanks i was able to get it done but now the car won’t start 😢😢. Have power but it won’t crank. Any idea what can be the issue??the air suspension compressor too is dead. Everything was fine until I jacked the vehicle up
more than likely its a separate issue, tap on the smaller cylinder looking thing (starter solenoid) while some one cranks. Also make sure battery is good amperage
