Heads up, Traxxas starts using 8938x instead of 8938 on maxx v2 now. I bought a maxx v2 recently and can confirm. 8938x is designed for maxx slash to host the new body clip system. While using 8938x on maxx v2 is perfectly fine, it has extra screw holes which prevent you from installing the veclro since the surface is not flat. Learnt the hard way and wasted 40 bucks😢

I tried a generic one off of Amazon and it totally sucked compared to the Dusty Motors Cover I have on a different RC. I sent the crappy one back and ordered a fancy blue one for new car. Worth the slight increase in price, mostly because it ACTUALLY works. Keep up the good work.

Are those the Trencher LT tires? I have those on my Rustler. Tried the standard Trenchers on my Rustler with the 3500 motor and they were too big…tore up the diffs. Plus overheated the motor. Love the LT’s though.
Might be a late reply here. But no, the electronics never overheated for me using this with 3S. The airflow seems to pass straight through the shroud with no issues.
hey I am on the dusty motors website under the instructions area and this video is not listed there. just thought I would let you know since I got a bit confused when looking for it.
Today Universal XL arrived. I have few points for users or for Dusty Motors company :-) 1) On the Sledge, there is a blue aluminium steering mechanism that will drill the cover. So start 1-1,5cm further, then is normal body front end is the way how to protect - protection. Then on the back is this length over little bit. But this is not an issue. Yes, on the first look it seems okay with little drill when steering, but i know after longer time, there will be hole in bad place where is shrinking mechanism for the cover. Like hole drilled by antenna on my Slash. But there is Dusty motors cover 5 years :-D 2) I'm not sure with shock protection which is in the package. I'm barely fit there finger but shock is way fatter. I know that's elastic, i will see when i try to use. There are maxx size shocks on the Sledge so if anyone tested this on maxx or on the Sledge, please let me know here in comment. 3) Change batteries via zip is okay, as i supposed. It was common question here in discussion. I never doubt that will be an issue. Resume: So XL universal protection for the body seems to be okay with small compromises. But some new edition focused directly on the Sledge should be better. Just tips from me. I definitely wanted this from the start of using, so it's okay for me now.

@@DustyMotorsEU Many users here asking that want to see how is battery changed via zip. It made me to record my first video ever a place it on the youtube. @@DustyMotorsEU the cover for the E-Revo 2.0 is available on your website atm, this one for the Sledge is not when i checked. Is there a difference between the two? I have a Sledge.

Superb. I Using Dusty motors cover on Slash for 5 years from the start of usage and also on shocks which cover was in package also. Only small defect is hole where antena is. I must buy also on Sledge :-)
This is pretty sweet. Haven’t clicked to check the price yet but if it’s reasonable I’ll probably be ordering soon to try it out. I would not recommend taking your Sledge into wood chips (like at a playground) without this. Was a nightmare after only 10 seconds of ripping. Zipper enclosure is great, will make batts easy to get to out in the field.
@@DustyMotorsEU I think that users wanted to see on the video for believing if it's possible. Maybe someone wanted more zips for better manipulation. But i know that is elastic and with and there should not be a problem with this size of "window". If someone have clips for better battery security, it can be removed from the top via Window. Then press Traxxas mechanism which release battery via cover, then take it via window in cover. I think that some operation from top via window and some with cover. Like start truck or release battery holder. I know the same mechanism from the Slash cover and i put cover whole out only when I'm cleaning the truck. Sorry for my English
Just open zip and remove. Its like without cover. Cover is also little elastic itself and also because front and rear mounts. I tried this today with really big 4S battery which barely fits in the holder and it was okay without any issue. Zip maybe looks small but space is sufficient.
