BD could have been used to guide the path. Press a button and he either runs, flies towards or uses a light to show the path. 🤷♂️ But, yeah, 100% agree this map/UI/navigation is a deal breaker for me.
I install Fallen Order again after 4 years maybe to 100% complete before trying the sequel and no just no, never again. Unistall and now that I see the sequel map is still horrible I'm not going to play it. I don't need this in my life.
I like it. It's different from Hell Let Loose enough to be it's own thing. I think the movement and sound are both better than HLL. The graphics are probably better in HLL. I think squad is a bit more hardcore. Suppression has more of an effect and it's harder to get kills/spot people. I'm encouraged by the new devs, seems like they are making good changes and fixes so far.
It's crazy the difference between 4090's and 4080 with the "limited" VRAM. I run pretty much everything low except for LOD's and standard texture. Ground is low. It's the only way I can get no stutters in VR with a 4080 / 7800X3D / 64GB RAM. Can't wait for them to upgrade to Vulkan API and get us some breathing room. Hopefully before the 5090 launch otherwise I know what I'll need to do.
@@MNTimBuktu Definitely! I made a poor choice thinking the 4080 would cut it. I'll be getting the 5090 next. Whatever has the most VRAM is what I'll get as that appears to be what DCS uses the most of! Lucky you, enjoy the high fidelity settings and no chops! Have you tried running high settings in the Paradise Lost campaign? That campaign gave me a 40-hour headache trying to optimize settings for minimal stuttering.
I played both Fallen Order and Survivor until I finished the main stories, then threw both games to trash, not touching these map navigating trash jedi games never again.
Just started VR last week when I got the 7900XT, the huey is now really fun.. question? how to keep the mouse cursor from moving with head set movement, hard to keep the mouse in position when I need to click something in the cockpit..
Im on rotorheads all the time, it's my favorite server. May I suggest, if you dont already own one. The NLR HF8 haptic seat pad, with Sim Shaker for Aviators. It's single handedly changed the immersion for DCS, specially helos. You can set it to each aircrafts telemetry, I can feel ETL, VRS, rotor whirl rpms and so on. I can't recommend it enough.
I have a buttkicker and actually have started using sim haptic, which is even more granular in control than sim shaker. Has different samples for each effect and individual controls.

@@MNTimBuktu thank you I will check it out. I use have but kickers too, SSA allows to have different feedback from the seat pad vs butt kickers. If that software does that too they maybe we have a winner. Looking into motion for my next purchase now. I like your setup. I'm also waiting in my pointcontrol. Amazing for vr.
@@MNTimBuktu I downloaded their trial, turns out it can't use more than one soundcard at the moment and doesn't support the HF8 seat haptic AND butt kickers, I have the seat pad and bass shakers. This is a disappointment as reviews seem promising. Having separate vibrations are so much fun. Thank you for your response though.
