Join me as I grab a mug and unwind while putting together some awesome jigsaw puzzles. I'll share some of my strategies, and review different brands and types of fun sets. You may also catch me shopping for some new ones and showing off my hauls. I hope to connect with others who love this hobby just as much as I do!

Gak! I think storage is the bain of the puzzlers' existance. I never had available space anywhere in my house to begin with so I started piling puzzle boxes up in an empty corner of a room. I figuried that with little space to spare, stacking them likie this might act as something of a restraint from going wild buying yet more puzzles. Far from putting on the brakes, though, my puzzle boxes have grown in height like bamboo and are now higher than I am. Sigh.
I live in Taiwan and Pintoo sell a few puzzles I've designed. They're such a great company! And the puzzles are fantastic. Mine are mostly maps and mazes, and HUGE (up to 4800 pieces).
This is the first video of yours that I watched. I "liked" it halfway through it. And I subscribed and turned on notifications when the video was done. The only thing left to say is that, IMO, you are NOT a "nut case" but instead a generous and talented expert sharing her passion and knowledge.
Hi Mandy I came across your channel last night when I was wanting to find out about the magic puzzles. I really like your personality and love for puzzles and subscribed to your channel. I have loved puzzles for going on 40 years and always did them on the kitchen table. I ordered a puzzle table and sorting trays last night that I'm really excited about and I feel like it will be a game changer. I noticed you telling us about the dimensions on the box and that might be something that I need to know with my new table. Thanks for the tips and have a blessed day! 'm looking forward to watching more of your videos! 😊
Would definitely love to see a ranking video at some point. Whether it is budget puzzles, or you ranking your Disney puzzles from least to most favorite or anything really. I really enjoy your videos and like how genuine you are.
I have never seen a $3 puzzle at my Target. I pick puzzles strictly on if the picture captivates me. I felt a great deal of empathy when you got “stuck” on the lady. I am currently working on a 1000 piece Ravensburger that looks like it should be easy but it’s making me feel like the worst and slowest puzzler in the country. But I love the picture, nonetheless.
Nice review. I CANNOT with false fits or high shine puzzles lol. I puzzle for fun and those things frustrate me, so no TY! lol I like to puzzle with a coffee.
I have both of these puzzles!!!! The 150 one was not great, all the same issues you had, but it reminded me of a waterfall from the trip I just came back from. I ended up taping it and want to print out the picture and place next to it. The plant babies my daughter got for me and I may end up doing it for the Puzzle Olympics. As far as snacking, I will either have cookies or brownies, OR a glass of wine. Just depends on the puzzle and my mood!! LOL
Interesting to hear your views on budget puzzles. They are probably fine if you are only doing them once and then passing them on. Thin pieces can be a common factor with these puzzles. I had a puzzle in the past where you felt if you breathed on 🌬it the pieces would shift as they were loose and thin. Basically you get what you pay for. 💷 Good quality puzzles come at a price. No doubt charity/thrift shops would be a good place to look for decent quality puzzles. I do a mix of buying from ebay or new from puzzle shops. We are a picky lot when it comes to what we are looking for from puzzles! 🧩 Look forward to your next video.
Love your coffee mug or the msg on it, Mandy....Hardly working. At least you have the right attitude lol. I got heaps of work I can give you if u like.....12, 000 YT channels to sort thru and approach. That'll keep me busy for 1-2 years :-) I think if I were frustrated, I would've taken it out on the jigsaw and gotten a texta, and painted the woman's hair yellow. Clearly, you have more patience than me. I want everything...yesterday lol It seems with jigsaws, more often than not, as with many things, we get what we pay for. Just an idea, the hold test might work better on the moon where gravity isn't as strong......just thought I'd mention it
Target online has a pretty good selection of puzzles. Sunsout and other brands. Sunsout is random cut and can be challenging. Quality is hit or miss though and I have frequently had duplicate or missing pieces. Lovely images!
Thank you for the review of both puzzles, much appreciated! I haven't tried these brands and probably won't. As far as snack foods during puzzling, I sometimes will do either, pecans, pistachios, cashews or mixed nuts. I don't want anything to messy 🙂
I appreciate that you reviewed these puzzles as I probably would have tried one And been disappointed. Now I'll stay away from them. For the price, I'd rather buy a better quality used puzzle or save up for a better quality new puzzle. I tend to keep and redo my puzzles or swap them with another puzzler. Thanks for another great video.
I'm older and have been enjoying jigsaw puzzles for many years. My experience is that, if I buy a lot of budget puzzles, their prices will soon add up to a total cost that would have allowed me to buy just a very few really high-quality puzzles. The budget puzzles are often the "one and done and donate to charity" type puzzles whereas the others are the ones I had the best puzzling experience with, and want to keep and to work again.
I agree. They are definitely one and done puzzles, and for me, it’s much easier to consider them for donation. Usually if I pay more for a puzzle, I mean to keep it in my collection. But these budget puzzles are great for some quick cheap fun if you don’t have too much to spare.
Michael's seems to ride high in general with their full prices - they're anticipating most people will be shopping with their email coupons, flyers, etc. Like shopping at Kohls without your Kohls cash, you shouldn't pay full price!
I tried to join discord, but it tells me that the link is invalid, both when I follow the one from the video, and from the link on your main RU-vid page. Do you have an updated link?
Thank you for letting me know! I’ve updated the link in the Discord video now, so you can use that one. I’ll have to update the link from the main page when I return back home, this darn app doesn’t let me do it on my phone.
Big puzzles can be very addicting! I was so intimidated by my first 2k but now I'm up to 9k. 2-3k is the sweet spot imo. My first 2k was Ravensburger's If Fish Could Walk which is pretty much a perfect puzzle. Full of distinct colours and textures and tiny details that keep you engaged. The difficuly depends so much on the picture. I've had 1k puzzles that were harder than some 3k ones! By the eay, I bought a foamcore board to put over my table for the big puzzles. Works really well!
I’m gearing up for my first 3k puzzle, and even though I’m super nervous about the big piece count, I just can’t wait to piece that beautiful image together. That’s amazing that you’re up to 9k!
