Eliza Dushku basically confirmed at a convention panel that the subtext was indeed real, that Faith did indeed swing both ways and that she portrayed her as such, AND that when Faith kisses Buffy on the forehead in Angel's mansion, the original scene was supposed to be a kiss on the lips. You can thank the puritanical jerks at the WB for nixxing that kiss and forcing Joss and the show writers to change it to a kiss on the forehead.
I was so confused when I rewatched the episode with Jonathan Bailey. He's the voice actor for Gra'ha Tia from Final Fantasy 14 and really did (and does) a great great job there. So when I rewatched it it feld strangely familiar but I couldn't quite point why.

You realize how badly D&D screwed up their ending when you think about that Braime is supposed to be a Beauty and Beast retelling - D&D's version has now Beauty leaving Beast at the end for Gaston, lol.
I watched this when I got into the maze runner fandom when the movie came out & would watch this religiously. Coming back all these years later this edit still makes me happy & gives me nostalgia
