Yea unfortunately, the idea that you always get a meal in first is a mirage. Basically, you only get a meal if the flight is over 2:30 (they don’t really follow that) minutes or if you go on a 5+ hour international flight. After 2020, airlines have gotten worse with giving food and have become lazy. In my opinion, it’s better to book economy on all flights except on international ones (the price is more, but the product is usually much more premium: lie-flat seats, meals, more allowed baggage weight, lounge access, and much more.

I WILL NEVER FLY SPIRIT EVER AGAIN!!!! The seats are cramped. Everything costs, even beverages on flight. Bag fees are ridiculous. And Frontier is the exact same. No wonder they are merging.
Interesting. I fly United more, but when I fly American, American usually has a newer cabin with more comfortable seats. In service, United is far better IMO.
