Hi, thank you for your question! I budget $150 a week for groceries for my family of three. Some weeks we stay slightly under, other weeks go over but that's a good average on what we are spending each week for our family. And then I usually budget around $150-200 per month for ButcherBox. I do receive referral credits when people use my link so it gives me money off but I aim to spend less than $200 on ButcherBox each month. Hope this helps!
I enjoyed the flavor of their ribeyes because the cows are grass fed and it shows as it showed in the taste, but there was little marbling. When cooked, it did feel more dry than even local grocery offerings. And for this reason, I unsubscribed to Butcher Box since Im looking for a more juicy steak
Good point! I also love a marbled steak and I agree, I could use some more fat on the ButcherBox ribeyes. I hope you were able to find something better locally!
Nice informative video, I was curious, but my local butcher store is a better value, with that said if you don’t have access to one it looks like a not bad deal.
Although there are butchers in my area the quality and value don't make it worth it but that's amazing you have a great local option! I agree, local is always better regardless of what the product is
Thank you for the idea - the only thing I'll change is swap walnuts for almonds (our teeth are too challenged by almonds :))... will make it this weekend and I like the fact we can control the ingredients (like how much avocado oil to put in, etc).
Oooh I'm going to do the same and try making the granola with walnuts next time - great idea! I agree, it's nice to control ingredients. Next time I make some I'm going to use maple syrup instead of honey
Hi! I know ButcherBox offers a curated box that can include just chicken items or just beef items. I like to get the Custom box where I'm able to select 6 cuts based on my preferences and also based on what I want to make that month. Randomly about 7 months into being a member, ButcherBox ran a "pay $99 get free flank steak for life" promo so I paid the $99 and now I will receive a flank steak in each box for as long as I am a member with ButcherBox. They ran a similar promo for bacon as well so I again paid a fixed amount and now I receive one pack of bacon in each of my boxes for as long as I am subscribed. So when I signed up using someone's link a year ago there was a "ground beef for life" offer that i got. Then like 6 months ago ButcherBox ran a sale for members if you prepaid a certain amount of money you could get "free flank steak for life" so I purchased that. I believe i paid around $90 and now I'll get a free flank steak as long as my membership is active. Lastly, I did a "free ground beef for a year" deal that they ran at the beginning of 2023. I paid around $50 for that and now I get 2lbs of ground beef in each box in 2023. So long story short they run promos infrequently for "for life" or "for a year" offers. Hope that helps
I use Walmart pickup when I don't want to shop, I really hate grocery shopping, Love Aldi, but it's always so crowded. Great haul, if I sent hubby to do the shopping he would end up buying too much junk😂
I always forget Walmart pickup is an option! I need to mentally note that because pickup is so convenient. I often utilize Target pickup option for household items but I'm going to do Walmart grocery pickup more often. Thank you for the tip!

The delay function seems to be the most helpful you can delay for any amount of time that works for your schedule. I use to coupon a long time ago when stores doubled them, when we moved to Florida, I stopped because the stores didn't double and food in general was higher in price. Now our stores have B1G1F, I stock up on items that I need and our local Publix has digital coupons, sometimes good deals.
Oh wow that's really interesting about the price of goods in Florida. I always assume being in San Diego that we pay the most for literally every/anything so I am always surprised to find other places have a pretty high cost of living as well! I love a good deal. I want to shop at a Publix one day when I'm traveling, I've heard people say their sandwiches are iconic.

apologies for the delay in responding to you! to my understanding of the ad I saw on my Vons app it's for your first pickup order of $75+ or more. I do plan on trying to utilize the coupon again in the future but it might just be a one-time use only. I do know that Vons/Ralphs often have digital coupon offers of $10-20 off coupons. Double check the apps for savings!
We don't have a business center, first time I have heard about them, maybe in the larger cities here in Florida, Hubby use to work in Clairmont Mesa area in the Industrial park. keep your potatoes in the fridge, they last longer if you can't get to them right away. They tell you not to, but I have been doing it for 40 years, I live in Florida never any place cool enough for them even with central AC

I was hesitant to buy any just because they look so sporty. I think they look a lot better while wearing them plus I'm just trying to push myself out of my comfort zone to try something new - very comfy!

Let’s face it, the proteins available in local groceries is awful. I got tired of paying through the nose for old meats. Grass fed/ grass finished is loaded with nutrients not present in what you get for everyday meats and it’s anti inflammatory!
I'm right there with you! When I tried to buy grass fed/finished from local grocers it was really expensive and it makes me feel better having proteins in the freezer. One day I'd love to purchase a half cow and pork from a local source but rn I don't have the space to store something so massive!
I agree, the bacon is delicious! I had some Costco brand bacon recently and it affirmed to me that ButcherBox bacon is SO much better. Now that you mention it, I agree - it does not burn!
You didn’t have bacon so salty you couldn’t eat it? Mine was- they have over 18 pages of negative reviews with the BBB. Customer service the worst ever! Once you cancel which isn’t easy they still charge you and send an order so you’re screwed.
