This is the worst! They arbitrarily fail to send your prescriptions and when you call, they give you a run around and weeks later finally tell you you need a prior authorization. This happens every 6 months for 2 of my prescriptions, even though I've been taking them for years and even though I was told that the pa require ent i? They will also not fill pain medication for more than 30 days- I don't know if that is the law or more of their uncaring ways, but either way, if takes them 2 to 3 weeks to receive them😢 Awful Awful
I won't recommend CVS CareMark to anyone . This video is full of lies. My medicine was always late. You can never get the same person . Every person will tell you a different story about what's going on ! Run for the Hills . We had this company for over 5 years. I have never been so stressed over getting my medicine on time. Had to cancel trips to go see our son's serving in military more than once because of them .Stress Free NOT!!!!°°

The Medicare Part D coverage gap (informally known as the Medicare donut hole) was a period of consumer payments for prescription medication costs that lied between the initial coverage limit and the catastrophic coverage threshold when the consumer was a member of a Medicare Part D prescription-drug program administered by the United States federal government. The gap was reached after a shared insurer payment - consumer payment for all covered prescription drugs reached a government-set amount, and was left only after the consumer had paid full, unshared costs of an additional amount for the same prescriptions. Upon entering the gap, the prescription payments to date were re-set to $0 and continued until the maximum amount of the gap was reached or the then current annual period lapses. In calculating whether the maximum amount of gap had been reached, the "True-out-of-pocket" costs (TrOOP) were added together. A health insurance company provided this explanation about TrOOP: "TrOOP includes the amount of your Initial Deductible (if any) and your co-payments or co-insurance during the Initial Coverage stage. While the Donut Hole includes what you pay when you fill a prescription and of the 75% Donut Hole discount on brand-name drugs, it includes the 70% Donut Hole Discount paid by the drug manufacturer. The additional 5% Donut Hole discount on brand-name drugs and the 75% Donut Hole discount on generics do not count toward TrOOP as they are paid by your Medicare Part D plan." TrOOP also included payments made for a consumer's drugs by any of the following programs or organizations: "Extra Help" from Medicare; Indian Health Service; AIDS drug assistance programs; most charities; and most State Pharmaceutical Assistance Programs (SPAPs). Provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 gradually phased out the coverage gap, eliminating it in 2020.
Do not let this company run your prescription service. I just had to pay for my methadone they refused to pay for after 10 months of always taking forever for me to get all my scripts?at once. CVS has a monopoly I know because I transferred from them to Walgreens. CVS started dumping we old broken and suffering patients by saying they did not have pain medicine in stock. Walgreens is not the problem but Silver Script and CVS have a monopoly and can get by since they paid off politicians to allow this corrupt practice.
I just now received my medications via CVS Caremark mail order. I immediately noticed it is 105F degrees here in Texas today. the UPS truck made me sign for the medication so I got it as soon as it arrived at my home. it was delivered in a hot truck. I noticed the bottles were hot to touch when I opened the package. SO I used a temperature probe that read 111.9 degrees inside the pill bottle! OMG! Are they foolish to think they can send medicine to Texas in the summer via unrefrigerated ground delivery vehicles? Not only that it is 6 pm, so I know this medicine has been in this heat on that truck the entire day! They shipped it UPS ground, so it most likely has been on a hot truck since the ship date which was 4 days ago. I opened one of my medicines Vescepa, basically a fish oil pill, OMG! it was completely melted into a blob. Been on the phone for several minutes now struggling to get this remedied. Seriously, now I am worried about all my medication, as I normally just trust it is ok. Just an FYI to add on. been through 3 people and what a hassle to get this refilled appropriately. Update: third person said it is fine, and not going top reship, and then hung up on me! OMG! CVS CAREMARK SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am 69 and have Medicare and Excellus Part D. I have been prescribed an oral antiviral medication course of treatment costing $3,650 for a one month supply which will cure the ailment after 30 days. There is no generic substitute for Epclusa. I have now reached the medication Coverage Gap / Donut Hole. I was shocked at the cost most of which would be out of pocket. But I live in upstate NY and am eligible for the New York state EPIC program and working with them over the phone the cost will be less than $100. Other states may have similar programs. Be sure to contact Medicare, your Part D coverage provider or your state health department to find out what financial assistance you may be eligible for.
OK, everyone, let me tell you something that Caremark won’t bother to mention. They don’t always keep you medication in stock. If you order a refill on a medication you take every day and Caremark doesn’t have the medication on hand to send you, they will CANCEL your order rather than just fill it once they have it in stock again. Of course, they won’t tell you that your order has been canceled. No, you’re supposed to somehow know this. You’re supposed to reorder it yourself while you’re waiting for the shipment that will never come. In other words, when Caremark doesn’t have your medication in stock, they’ll cancel your order BECAUSE THEY COULDN’T SEND IT TO YOU. Their company policy is to assume you no longer need the medication because THEY didn’t have it. I was just told this on the phone by one of their unhelpful customer service representatives. I’ve been without the medication I need for nine days now - despite having ordered my refill in mid-December - because I did not know they had canceled the order. Because they did not inform me that they had canceled my order. Because they did not bother to keep a fairly widely used medication in stock. On that last point: Caremark told me they didn’t have it in stock because there was a "nationwide shortage." I spoke to the manufacturer to determine if this was true, and the manufacturer said there was no shortage. The manufacturer offered to send me a 30-day supply right away, even - if I handed them the $650 retail price. I don’t have $650 to spare right now, so I had to say no. I have confirmed with users of this medication who do NOT use Caremark that they’ve received their refills with no delay. I just want everyone to know that this is the way Caremark treats its customers.

so what would you like better? an uber for the drugs with the risks it may entail, or for each pharmacy location to have their own delivery service????- honest question= project
CVS Caremark is beyond fked up. They have terrible customer service and do not bother following up. I am appalled at the low level of service compared to the exorbitant rates for their insurance. DO NOT BUY THEIR INSURANCE!!!
Thank God I don't have to use your insurance for medications anymore. I am free of the hoax, moving to a republican-led state that embraces healing through god-given medical cannabis. Blessings...
Silver script will change a tier 1 generic to a tier 3 so they can charge you $50 for a generic. When you call to ask why you get a Filipino call center. I called for an appeal on a price change weeks ago, a response that was supposed to occur in 5-10 business days still hasn’t arrived.
If you are on brand name drugs that your plan covers or high dollar generics, you will reach the donut hole a lot faster. Depending on your drug plan it should be listed on there the amount $$ they/you pay until you get there. For example: If it’s $4,795- once both you and your insurance reach that amount paid on drugs for the year then you enter the donut hole.
I lived that nightmare for years! Thank God My husband union has now fired them. There is hope once again I don't think anyone could do as bad as these people !!!!!
This company is ABSOLUTELY the worst. The reps that answer the phone can't form a sentence. I ran out of medication because my order was lost in transit. I called to ask what should I do they said ask my doctor for samples? My doctor does not have samples! 🗑 company. Avoid them at all cost.
CVS Caremark is, without a doubt, THE single worst prescription service I have ever had. I don't know of anyone who has anything good to say about these people but naturally they put out videos like this telling us how wonderful they are. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
Silver script is a ripoff. I'm 100% disabled at VA and now I started getting bills from this company. I don't need them. Now I have to fill out a form and wait for the processing to get out of it. The SS said it's a private company and they can't get me disenrolled. This is a complete ripoff. I discontinued Medicare in 2016 and now get bills from Silver Script and I'll never use them. Do not trust them for anything.
Do not use this company. CVS Caremark is a immoral company that will break laws and perform fraud freely. We as civilians have no recourse against these companies unless we pull together to take them down.
They expect senior citizens on social security to pay for this “gap” running into the thousands of dollars. My parents can’t afford that, yet when they applied for assistance they were denied on the premise that they “make too much money.” My mom works as a hotel receptionist in her 60’s making a little over 9 dollars an hour. My dad works as a bank currier making barely $30,000 a year. Too much money?! They can barely eat!
Worst part D I've ever encountered. Won't allow Prior Authorizations by Physicians, Quantity Limit increase ordered by Physicians, or Formulary exceptions ordered by Physicians. Steer clear of this insurance if you can
SilverScript insurance sucks. Every trip to the drug store is now a marathon calling to get the RIGHTS that I, and the GOVT, pay for. Each call usually takes over 10 hours, and 50 calls.
