Balanced with protein, healthy fats, carbs and fibre 🫶🏼 the mix of the salty salmon, zesty peanut dressing, creamy avo and sweetness from the mango is so so soooo good! 😍 Ingredients: - 1 salmon fillet - 1 cup cauliflower rice (or normal white rice) - 3 tbsp tamari - 1 tbsp peanut butter - 2 tbsp lime juice - 1/2 tsp garlic powder - 1/2 tsp chilli flakes - 1 tsp smoked paprika - 1 tsp sesame oil - 1/2 an avocado - 1/2 cup edamame beans - a couple of mango cubes - fresh coriander to garnish Method: 1. Slice the salmon into bite size chunks, season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika. Air fry for 10 mins at 200c. 2. In a pan, add the sesame oil. Fry the cauliflower rice with 1 tbsp tamari for 5 minutes. 3. Dressing: add 1 tbsp tamari, 1 tbsp peanut butter, 2 tbsp lime juice, garlic & chilli flakes to a small bowl, whisk together until smooth and creamy. 4. Assemble the bowl by placing the cauliflower rice first, topping with the salmon, adding avocado, edamame beans, and mango. 5. Drizzle with the peanut like dressing and garnish with fresh coriander. I hope you love it as much as I do! 🫶🏼 #healthyrecipes #healthyeating #salmon #pokebowl #omega3 #antiinflammatory #highprotein #guthealth #highfibre #antioxidants #plants
Sydney is but one city in Australia. There are many places with far better beaches, cheaper houses etc and less crowded ,& chaotic. Really Explore before settling.
We have family and friends I city so that’s primarily why we settled here, it’s also a great mix of city life and beach life. We just love it! Can’t wait to travel more of Australia though, we are headed to the Whitsundays next week ☺️
The place we are renting at the moment has an electric blanket on the bed and since it's a cold home it's very appreciated. I've never driven a manual but I imagine it would be difficult on hills. Oh dear - the plant is a little bit too small for on the floor. That chocolate bar sounds nice - how was it? What a beautiful evening in Sydney. Looks like you're having a nice time with your guests.
Idk how many people we need in Sydney at this point everyone seems to want to move here til u get sick of it weird cuz I feel like moving out of Sydney after being here my whole life
I totally get what you mean, we felt the same coming from Ireland, there has always been a huge Irish community in Sydney and we wanted to experience that, be it for 1 year or a couple more 😊
They have no legal right to ask for bank statements. Pay slips etc are enough proof of income in NSW. Real estate agents try to get away with anything. Glad you got a place.
Kmart stocks the dining goods you showed.... you can buy online also. Aldis is great with groceries, but woolworths are the fresh food people .Make sure you get a discount woolworths card and use it .If i fill up my car at a woolworths petrol staion and then get $10.00 of my shopping. After you ue a professional for pest make sure you wash the dishes and utensils.
Nicola, Fi you go to a bunnings warehouse and get a three pack of insect pest bombs they will get rid of the cockroaches.....you really only need the cheap ones and one does a small room area... put these on and go out for two hours and you will get rid of them ..if you do not want to wash your dishes and cutlery put them in you car still in the drawers while the bombs work....we had flies but found we had been getting cockroaches because of the drought, floods, etc (Hovex 125g Germgard Insecticide Bomb - 3 Pack ...) only $7.00 i did the expensive ones and still had the flies but after these everything was dead ,and it is ongoing.
I wear spf every day and a hat if I’m out for long! ☺️ I like the lids as it keeps the coffee nice and hot, hate when they get cold, especially with the cold weather here now!
Bonsoy is a great milk. I have switched to oatly in my tea but use bonsoy for all other milk purposes. The braces don't look as obvious with the white wire - looks like a good compromise. I eat chia puddings a lot as well. So good that you were able to get all your Winter clothes from Ireland. My daughter lives in the country but I'm in Wollongong and she's in Charleville, QLD - which takes 2 full days to drive to ! Soup is a great option for you with your braces. And perfect during Winter.
We stayed in two hotels, first Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort, then Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. I recommend both! Absolutely love the Cabana Bay, you’re so near the universal parks and literally a 2 min walk to Volcano Bay, it’s the best! 🥰
Chicken & Lentil Soup 🍲 I make a big pot of this delicious soup almost every week 🍜 this can be frozen and will last in the fridge for 4 days 🫶🏼 Packed with protein, plant variety, fibre and great for your gut 🫶🏼 also the most delicious flavour, pure comfort 🥰 Makes 4-5 servings Ingredients: - 2 tbsp olive oil - 1 large onion - 3 garlic cloves - 1 large leak - 3 celery stalks - 4 carrots - 400g red lentils - 3 chicken breasts - 1L chicken bone broth - Salt & pepper to taste - 500ml of hot water (may need to add more as soup thickens) Add olive oil to a large pot and heat. Chop all veggies and diced chicken breasts, add to a pot. Sauté for 5 mins. Add the lentils, chicken broth and hot water, bring to a simmer. Stir and let simmer until the lentils are soft and the soup thickens. You may want to add more water as the lentils absorb water quickly. Keep stirring and add water as needed. Soup will be ready in 45 minutes. #healthyrecipes #bonebroth #collagen #immunity #proteinrecipes #highprotein #fibre #guthealth #guthealing
Welcome to Sydney! As a fellow fair skin / red haired winter is my favourite time of year to absorb that beautiful Sydney sunshine as we can get so burnt in summer and it’s not humid in winter. I go without the sunscreen in winter when possible so I can build up the natural vitamin D as well as other sunshine benefits, but I still have to be careful with the timing as it’s easy to get burnt. Hope you’re both very happy here and enjoy the lifestyle!
The winter sun has been absolutely delightful! I wear spf every day regardless of the temp 😅 all about preventing sun spots down the line! Thank you so much, you’re very kind ❤️
Welcome to Australia and to Sydney. I also live in Sydney in the south West. Can i ask what suburb did you settle in? It's the most beautiful but also the most expensive city sadly. Unfortunately, it's just a fact of life right now. Wash your clothes in cold water only and yes you don't need to turn the taps on and off everytime, just leave them on but only the cold water, we don't even use the hot one. Do you have air con or a fan in the apartment? Are you near the beach? I would love to know how much it costs to set up an apartment with all the bits and pieces you need from scratch if your happy to share?
Thank you! 🥰 we’re in Maroubra. It is so nice but super expensive for sure! I’m excited for summer in Sydney though 🌞 it’s super chilly in our apartment now! We don’t have AC or heat but bought a little electric heater for emergencies 😂 thank you for the washing tips! It does cost a lot to get all set up from scratch!
Do you think putting the toaster at the small corner under the cabinet, where you put your bread and oats and rice, would give you more preparation space in front of the kettle? About the spare room, instead of buying a bed in future, you could consider to buy an air mattress with electric pump. We bought ours couple of years ago from a camping shop when they were on sale. Very handy and comfortable. Just need to add a thin blanket during Winter and use the sponge method to check the hole, if it started to deflat 😄
