horrible resort. great staff as always because its the DR!!!! One employee told me if i visited once, I probably wouldn't return! Ditto!!!!!!!! Stay at Breathless, Secrets or the Hardrock...
Good question. With all of the supply problems Cuba is currently having, I think you would be hard pressed to fully enjoy any hotel you choose. If you are into kite surfing or want a great beach, then Starfish Cayo Guillermo would be a top choice.
I agree. My hope is that as more tourists visit the area, the locals will realize what they have and be proud of it. Hopefully they will want to keep the town looking as clean as possible then.
These Europeans and North Americans come to our country, buy the land from the government, the government took that same land from the humble natives and sold it off to the best buyer. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, nothing against you tourists, but I wonder if we as Honduras would be given the same opportunity you guys are offered here but in your native countries. We are no longer ignorant, and we will not give up our land....just like USA is for gringos, Europe is for Europeans....Honduras is for Hondurans. Come, enjoy our beaches, our culture, but don't try to take what's ours.
No, owning the world would be much too much work for me. Visiting nice places and experiencing friendly cultures is enough for me. Luckily for me Hondurans are very welcoming. The angry ones seem to be on RU-vid.
I understand my fellow Honduran where his anger and frustration is coming from, but it's not your fault, you are very much welcome to our country with open arms and if you bought a piece of land with your money is very much yours and we can't be mad about that!! The government and other elite group from the past had already stolen and taken it from us and we as natives as much as we want our land back there's nothing we can do but move on and I appreciate the video very much!!
Thank you for your comment. Everywhere that I have lived in my life has been a peaceful place. Unfortunately all of these places were taken from other people many, many years ago. There are, and have been, uncountable injustices in the world and you and I are not responsible for most of them (past and present). Some have to do with land ownership, another example is the way innocent animals are sometimes abused. We can only do our best to remember these lessons and try to do better going into the future.
Thanks! The shots were mostly taken with iPhones. There is also some drone footage. The steadier shots were taken with a DJI Osmo Pocket. I use Davinci Resolve for editing.
calles polvorientas naturakeza verde aire puro y gente humilde comida sana lluvias torrenciales y montañas lindas eso es vida y felicidad a todos que aman vivir haci sean bienvenidos a este bello lugar
@@bogdantrzymaj those aren’t nothing compared to Cuba’s Pristine White Sand Beaches. Those countries the only advantage they’ve is that they have better facilities and other offers like food and internet service. Because they’re free market economies not like Cuba that is communist country. Otherwise Cuba has nothing to wish from the line coast of any of those countries. Believe me when i said "CUBA HAS THE BEST BEACHES(IN THE WHOLE WORLD)”.
Our room was very clean and so was the rest of the resort. Our trip was the week after a hurricane hit the west of the island so supplies to the resorts were even more limited than usual.
@@periapexHello I am going with my daughter to his hotel Starfish at the end of March, so i will spend Easter Holiday there, i booked for two weeks, the price for two weeks was good. Can you plz tell me how is the situation with mosquitoes there, and also plz tell me a little about food! Should i bring ketchup and mustard with me? 😊 i know Cuba have problems with everything. How about towels, should i bring my own towel or they supply beach towels. Your film is wonderful, i can't wait to go there in almost two weeks. I wish to have the room close to these Ocean. Looks wonderful
Have fun! The beach is one of the best I've been to and the price was unbeatable for us also. Sand flies were quite bad when we were there but we were there during rainy season. Now they will probably be less but I would still be prepared for them if I were you. If there are certain types of foods or condiments that you like, I would take them also. The resort ran out of some types of alcohol when we were there, which is unheard of at all-inclusives. Do not expect much variety with the food. Towels shouldn't be a problem. They supplied beach towels. Enjoy!
@@periapexthank you for responding, i really appreciate it. Regarding alcohol, I don't drink a lot, just maybe beer on a hot day and i hope they will have it. Can you tell me if they had a vodka?
Beer they should have but they give you drinks in very small cups so take bigger cups and then you can have them make your drinks in them. I can't remember if they ran out of vodka when I was there but they ran out of tequila. They make rum on the island I think so they won't run out of rum. Other alcohol maybe. Don't forget that it was over a year ago that I was there so supply issues might be better now. I don't think so though. Some hotels have better supply sources than others from what I've heard.
I don’t think people travel to Cuba expecting a culinary treat. Our trip was the week after a hurricane hit the west of the island so supplies to the resorts were even more limited than usual.
@@periapex thanks for the quick reply yes Cuba is for the beaches not the food i have been over 12 time but my return after the covid the food was tuff and i never complain before that that’s why i wanted to try a different place from Varadero. oh well they don’t have control of that so will deal with it thx later will change destination to Mexique or Dominica Rep just to see how is it after Covid 😀😀😀
Dear Windswept, I was thinking of going in January from USA. Airlines are asking for official reasons to travel to Cuba. Did you have to show any special paperwork? thanks
