Thanks 👍 Original Mr Bojangles, an American African who tap danced. Shirley Temple mentioned that he was her best friend when an era where racism existed strongly. JJW(Jerry Jeff Walker) was native of New York and travelled but eventually settled in Austin area, but previously he had been incarcerated in New Orleans for public intoxication (Norm for him at that time), and met a white vagrant, his nickname was also Bojangles, this the song we have here... Nitty Gritty Dirt Band hit the airwaves and exploted ! But what a song 🥰

Why in the world do interviewers constantly ask the same stupid questions, "why do you keep doing it?" or, "if you were not doing music what would you be doing?" Would you ask this question to a banker, a doctor, a news moderator or a university professor? Or does it mean that they don't like what they are doing and want them to quit and do something else? What is the point??
Yeah....Hard to Understand..ISN'T it? We Pull It out of the ground , in it's Raw form.....THEN Re-FINE it...into JJ's GAS-O-LINE!.....POISON! WE RIDE....but breathing that Shitte makes folks die.....Be Aware....pick a side.....& watch OUT for those ANTS..........
I saw them on their Last Tour performance in '74 at the Oakland Coliseum California. They went right into "Love the one you're with" and really got that crowd going. Even with outside acoustics, they still sounded great!
Salty Crosby regarding Neil's output. This is a horrible interview. Such a shitty group. Neil Young's talent and canon of songs is miles ahead of these washed up has beens.
I saw CSNY at Winterland (a former ice skate rink converted to a light show concert hall) in San Francisco just after Neil joined. Everyone would bring a blanket, a snack, and a joint. We all lay down and watched the most amazing light shows while listening to the intro bands, waiting for CSNY to play. It got real quiet.... then this high pitched clear voice... "Be on my side baby 🎶 .... (Down by the River song) and I sat up completely melting inside. That was Neil and I had fallen deeply in love with his voice. I had been to Woodstock just before he joined CSN. To this day, I still love listening to their songs. AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL AND PROFOUND BLEND OF TALENT 💎💜💎
Amazing guys, talking or not....But the never ending sensation that Mt. Nash is all about himself never leaves me...Watched a Hollies doc recently, and it was back then that view arose. Watching this interview said it again.....Thank you for the music, but it would be so much better if he toned it down a bit....It was a group, not one person.
