when i was a kid i stumbled upon this game and enjoyed every moment on the ps1, as I got older I got distracted from the games, but I always wondered what had happened to jowy in the story, I got my hands on a PSP recently and loaded custom firmware, there was a website I was looking for games and something said check the psx games, after a few page skipping then BAM! i would never forget the cover, I rushed to google the character with the game name and then added joey but it came up as jowy, saw this video and confirmed this is the very same game I have been looking for all this time, doesn't jowy betray his friends and join up with other tribes or something like that?
This game had a great story and time lapse change over, just wished they made the main character's style less kiddish with the shorts and boots, the shirt vest and bandana made the outcast look awesome, the shorts and blades visual needed a redo, I fell in love with this suikoden cause of the dual wielding blades. Why I love fantasy, every RPG should give you a option to dual-wield, single hand, or Two-Handed, but not overwhelming blades like Monster hunter, like the Japanese samurai two handed weapons.
This stuff still etched in my mind....what a beautiful story and game...really expecting suikoden 3 go with 2d and have tir and riou as secret characther
Wow, what a blast from the past! Suikoden IV was such a classic game. The final boss battle was intense, but I have to agree, the name could have been more creative. Still, nostalgia hits hard watching this. Thanks for sharing this epic moment, vilkalizer!
Great video! The opening of Suikoden Tactics brings back so many memories. It's a shame that it's a sequel that not many people have experienced. Thanks for sharing this gem with us!
Just found out that Konami will launch Suikoden I & II HD Remaster and came here to compare the screenshot of this scene they've put in Steam page for the remaster. OMG I'm so hyped!
I kind of surprised how I just remember how different is friendship attack with true friendship. In Friendship Attack, Snowe act like Lazlo master than his friends but in True Friendship Atack, they are equal
Like, if this were a movie, wouldn’t some cool movie posters be the four passed trials as taglines at the bottom??? For instance, one movie poster at the bottom says, “If it be Strength you seek, step forward.” And the other movie posters have the other 3 lines… I think it would be cool.

Poor Pahn. I did the same thing back in the day and benched him. Teo wiped the floor with him and I just figured it was scripted my first playthrough of the game.
this is the best villain ever. there is no gray area or no personal conflict... he is just batshit crazy with the position and power to do batshit crazy stuff!
